Saftey grabs.... so far....

Does anyone else find it physically impossible to grab safety? Like I can grab everything else, but I cannot reach for a safety no matter how hard I try. It's like my arms just aren't long enough no matter no much I hunch or how much I tuck my legs up. I hate it.

Anyone else have this problem? Could it be to long of legs or too short of arms?
 
you can grab everything eles, huh? that statement clarifies that you can do double nose grabs. you can do double nose grabs, yet your arms are too short to reach your skis?
 
Nah man. I just have the typical park ski. Look bindings... but i can like do mutes and criticals and double criticals and japans and blunts all that jazz. Just, I cannot reach saftey. It's like... my body can't.
 
safety may be the easiest grab in the world, seriously, if you cant get them just keep trying, two or three tries later, BAM! youll have it
 
I cannot grab them when my feet are straight down, but when I bring my skis up to the side I can get it.
 
thats the trick where you just grab straight down and bend your knees right?? yeah thats kind of weird you cant do those.. do your knees not bend ha??
 
bend your knees and grab a ski! hahahah it's like the easiest thing ever!!! If you cant grab that it means that you are 400lbs!
 
K, i can mute, japan, double japan, double critical, tail blunt, toxic, all of that, i am not lying. I just can't safety. It's fawked. I'll try bringing it up to the side. It's weird. I swear I just have long legs of something. Cause when I tuck, I tuck super hard and my knees are at my chest, but I can't reach it.
 
haha how can u not safety...i can do them like without going offa jump, just jumping off the ground
 
I sometimes end up doing a lame side ski safty or boot safty, but it feels awesome when you get that 4 finger grab going.
 
Not sure why or how you are having trouble with this. If you can do other grabs a saftey is done the same way. Like said you can bring your skis up to one side. I am very unflexable and can get both types of grabs easly. Just like a mute or anything else, tuck your knees up, reach down to the side, feel for the ski and grab.

Stand on level ground with ur boots on, lift up one of ur boots and grab the sole. If you can do this you can saftey. You just need to bring both feet up with your skis on.

If that does not help, then I don't know what will?!?!?
 
if you cant do a saftey how do you put socks on in the morning, i dont think you know what a saftey even is.
 
just put your skis on, sit and touch the ground. same thing except in the air.its impossible you cant reach. i can technically speaking do it with my legs staight. try touching your toes and if you missing 1 1/2 foot prob the max you can miss, you tigh are longer than this so a 90 degree bend of the knees will make it...not to mention that you can bend more and also can bend your belly
 
safety grabs are sneezy so just stretch in the morning and then it won't be a poblem raching down for it. Also if our flexible it's a lot harder to get hurt and getting injured for a season truly sucks
 
if you can reach down and touch the bottom of your foot you can do a saftey grab.

All you need to do is bend your knees.
