I dont see saddam as any bigger of a threat then Bush, they are equally evil. How much money you want to bet they find Bin Laden right before elections, anyone? anyone?

Holy Crap, you mean you forgot about bin laden? wasnt he originally the largest threat in the war against terror? Why did they turn all the attention to Saddam? I feel an attack coming on again soon.

And as for this comment ^, I have talked to quite a few soldiers who were there when they moved into Baghdad, and they said there was no justification or real reason for them to get involved in what was happening there. One friend of mine who was their said he questioned everything he did because he saw no real reason for anything they did

 
Whatever your opinions are on the war it is regardless. The capture of the most ruthless tyrant in modern day man is a great achievment and excellent for the whole arab nation. Saddam killed thousands and deserves a slow death. The capture is a great thing.

 
Regardless of the troops wanting to be there or not. They enlisted and chose a profession that entails the possibility of putting your life on the line due to decisions made beyond their power. Right or wrong, that's the risk they take.

i think whatever happens to saddam there will be a terrorist retaliation. He still has supporters even though we have him. kinda whacked that we got him alive when he said he would kill himself before we got him.

ok first off i would just like to say to whoever said that bush and saddam are not equally as evil is wrong. they both are evil. sure bush didnt bomb americans but he sure killed thousands of humans. whats the difference. are americans suppose to be better then everyone elnse. he killed people just like saddam did.

LET me back track here. i dont mean to come off as supporting saddam i hate the guy just as much as the rest of you. i think its good that we found him but it does not justify killing thousands of people. think of it this way. we killed thousands of humans just so we could capture a man that is so scared he is hiding in a hole in the ground. i support the troops but get them the hell out of there because they dont belong there and its a damn shame that bush didnt have any post war plans so we are forced to keep troops there (possibly for decades now) because bush was an ignorant fuck and bombed a whole country causes us, tax payers, billions of dollars. when infact we should be stopping terrism and not searching for keep oil because we want keep gas.

o and a nother thing. why is it that we have focused so much attention on the capture of saddam in the first place, wasnt it our original entention to stop bin laden and the terrist and not saddam. when did saddam come in the picture in the first place (can i say OIL). and when you say that troops want to be over there then you are just as stupid as the next american because that is just propoganda bullshit. We have lost more americans after the war already ENDED then we lost in desert storm or even this war.

 
where do you get your information. The media, and is the past few months the media has been focusing on Iraq. It doesnt mean that equal efforts have not been taking place in Afghanistan.

How can we trust the US governement with all the hit they said? How can we trust the media when we know that they belong to industrial? If they really got him, he should be judged bye the LaHaye tribunal, that way, the entire will know that the only reason why the americans knowed that iraqi had weapons of mass-destruction was because THEY give 'em (france and britain too, during the iran-iraq war)

 
i saw some smart comments and some stupid ones. i think that getting saddam is a good thing. i think its a bad thing that we're going to torture him (hello, NPR; don't listen to Rumsfield), and its going to be a while before we get any tangible information that will do us any good.

all in all getting saddam is good. its a bad thing that the capture will help out bush's popularity ratings. i don't want a war where children are killed, allied powers are excluded from restoration projects, and where the environment is not a serious priority.

i don't want that man as president.

but i do want saddam captured.
