Come on C_lo my fellow gansta. First off Bush has not OFFICIALLY broken any international law. BUT, I can tell you who has OFFICIALLY broken international law. His name is Saddam. Saddam tried to have former pres Bush assasinated. Saddam invaded Saudi in an aggressive manner. Saddam broke humanitarian international laws by killing more than 300,000 civilians in his 'cleansing' process. Saddam broke humanitarian international laws by having rape rooms. Saddam broke humanitarian international laws by torturing and killing iraqi olympians who did not win their events. the list goes on and on and on. Hell if you knew your shit you would even know that the UN has violated international law. Not to the scale of Iraq's offenses, but a broken law is a broken law. I believe it was on On November 8, when the U.N. Security Council voted 15-0 vote in favor of Resolution 1441, which concerns Iraq. Through its passage of the Resolution, the Security Council indirectly supported the U.S.'s threat to go to war against Saddam Hussein. Some parts of the Resolution are unobjectionable. But others may violate the U.N. charter, and thus violate international law. The US isnt the bad guy. So dont single out bush. he is not the bad guy you make him or want him to be. he is a great leader with humanitarian interests. your all confused.

SU_Pilot, i agree with what you said except for one thing. Bush didn't say anything about Saddam until we got in there and realized we didn't have a reason. If he had had made that his goal in the first place, maybe not everyone would have opposed.

 
Nickskier, the capture of Saddam should speak for its self. People knew that if we invaded Iraq we would search for and attempt to capture Saddam. Its not the primary reason we are there.

Let me tell you about the 'innocent' people Saddam gassed: they were KURDS. NOBODY, not nobdy likes a Kurd. They gotta be the most hated, viscious society on the planet. EVERY neighbouring country Turkey, Iran, Syria, Iraq would love to run in and kill every one of those worthless bastards. Kurdish militias opened fire on US troops after the '91 war after they were 'liberated' and EVERY Kurdish faction (including the PUK) is listed as a terrorist organization. Kurds launched the largest assault on US troops since the invasion just a few weeks ago in northern Iraq. What was most disturbing is they didn't hit and run, they stood and fought until they were killed. They're crazy fucks. So Saddam did what anybody would do when he busted out the gas. It was just used to paint Saddam in a bad light because Iraq-US relations were beginning to fray at the time. You want some crimes against humanity? You should see what Russia has done to the Chechens, but those greasy bastards deserve it too.

this was in 88, long time ago. there wasnt been wmds in Iraq for years. And Kurds are generally regarded as terrorists, young or old. Go ahead and defend them, they have already turned on the US as evidenced by attacks spreding north to Mosul, deep in their territory. Seems they have taken a liking to drive-bys on US soldiers. The offices of the PUK (supposedly a Kurdish ally) was raided by US 2 weeks ago. why? Why would you stick up for them? They are an enemy too. Saddam is the least of the trouble there. And no us troops have been deployed anywhere near Chechnya, they are letting Russia deal with that one alone. (Thats in Russia, not Chechslovakia.)

ya Simonfiller im not argueing that i know damn well why we went to iraq and it does make more sense then going to other countries. IM just sick of all you damn republicans saying what a horrible man he was and that is why we went to war, because there are multiple horrible rulers in the world who we do absolutley nothing about.

and...i'm glad we caught him. i've spent the last few days at school discussing the ways that we should kill him. this is what the consensus wants first, we let people pay money to punch him or hit him with a bat, but only on his arms and legs so he doesn't get killed, yet. next, we drop him off naked in san frisco for a couple days and let big guys ass rape him. then, we chain him to the back of a truck (still naked) and drag him until he is all cut up and bleeding. after that, we toss him in the sewer so he will have infectious wounds all over his body. then, we nail him to some plywood and hang him up in times square for a couple days just to humiliate him. and finally, we toss him in a huge water tank while he's still nailed to that board and let the iraqi people spit and piss on him until he drowns. and just so everyone knows, i am not the sick fuck who thought all this up, this is just my collection of other people's suggestions, but i do think that would be the ultimate punishment.

so let my attempt to introduce some reasoning and common sense to the closed minded liberal brainwashees. Saddam hated the kurds so he slaughtered them wholesale. Saddam hates the U.S. So naturally if he was given more time and means, he would have done the same to us. I support the war, because, perhaps I am a bit crazy. Yes, I will admit to wanting to be safe from threats. And yes I will admit to wanting the Iraqi people to be free...but hey, maybe that's just me!

And ever since we entered Iraq nothing but good has come to the world since then. We captured, alive, the most corrupt ruler of all time, to his own people for gods sake. We are re-instating a centralized government and are rebuilding Iraq. Yea a some people have died, but compared to what might have come, i'll take the extra step just to secure our safety. And compared to the amount of people that have died in other wars of this length, the numbers are phenominal.
