Guess the title says it all...Saddam and his half bro both received the death penalty this morning, and associates received various sentences. Wonder if Bush will be the one to pull the floor out from under him....
 
Not too suprising, did anyone really think he would just walk or something? Well, besides himself...
 
should find a more cruel way of killing him than hanging. thats too generous in my opinion. id give him the aids virus and put him in solitary confinement until he dies
 
i think they should have put him in a 20 story building put him at the top and said u have to get out before the bomb explodes and have a trip wire so when he comes to the last hallway he hits it and everything explodes on top of him it would be perfect

we're better off if we let him spend the rest of his days in prison. when we hang him (who the fuck hangs people nowadays) we'll turn him into a martyr which is the last thing we want to do
 
he asked to be shot by a rifle, but i guess they're going to hang him instead.

dude that would be osama, dont get them confused just because they are in the middle east. and if he does get the death penalty(doubtful) he will be hung, people who commit warcrimes or treason get hung...even u.s soldiers

shut the fuck up honestly, you have no idea what youre talking about. when the u.s sells weapons to another country it is because at that time they were not an enemy of the u.s, such as afghanistan during the cold war. at that time our primary concern was stopping the spread of communism, how could we know that in the future they will be a terrorist organzation

Giving saddam weapons had nothing to do with communism and everything to do with Iran. Also, Saddam Hussein is the former president of Iraq, not a terrorist organization. Know your facts, empower yourself.

Since when is selling weapons, and spreading war justifiable? Because it helps kill innocent people in favor of a lifestyle the U.S. approves? whatever.
 
we sold weapons to afganistan to help them fight the USSR who invaded them. And are you saying that we shouldn't listen to history books
 
^ all i am saying is that its not like we sold them weapons to do something bad with them, we sold them weapons to fight the people who were our enemies at that time. so we cant be blamed because they misuse the weapons we sold them

and yet so do a dozen other nutjobs aroud the globe. i mean jesus, how many americans actually knew who saddam hussein was prior to 2003? it would be a pretty sad commentary if for americans, his death justifies this war.

well i for one am not entirely certain i agree with capital punishment anyway. not to say that saddam doesn't "deserve" to die. but my views on the matter have always been fairly ambiguous..perhaps in his case though i would be for it.

when is the appeal going down?
