I wonder if a code of conduct could be established when it comes to the mention of SAC. It seems every so often somebody makes a thread and it gets old. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say it pisses me off, for obvious reasons. I would like to know if any of the guys in green are in agreement with me on this, or if I am not about to get any support here.

ROTFL... fuck I got pwned DAMMIT!

The big problem is that those guys really want to advertise SAC... so the secret will get out. :)

on my Gmail, there's ads for SAC all the time, since google analyzes your emails' content and advertises to your "demographic".

I really get annoyed with them as well, but I would just have it as your homepage and keep all the goods to yourself!

Mods have been good about deleting them, keep it up. What are your guy's opinions about the SAC alert threads tho, the ones without a link or address... like "skis on SAC NOW!!!1"

i don't like any threads that advertise SAC deals. I automaticaly check SAC whenever I am on, and I think it should be saved for people who do likewise. And if you really want to know what is going to be on you can sign up for an email service that emails you the night before with some of the stuff that will be on the next day (no prices).

I heard about whiskey in the cult, that other one is new, too bad I can't have them all open automatically.

And to be quite honest, I didn't find out about SAC by reading somebody's thread of just by getting told.

And it's not that a few people can't hear about it once in a while, but if those threads keep up all of NS is going to know and that, is excessive and getting to the point of making it hard to cop anything unless you're there when its put up.

Besides that, the threads are useless, they are only good for a couple minutes in most cases, if its a less popular item maybe a few hours, what even bother?

theres this one site, that lists all the SAC/Whiskeymilitia type sites, but i forgot it...

Anyone know?

Especially since the thread is only good for the 5 minutes they are available and only 4 people see it in time.....

All good points, but wouldnt you rather have kids on NS get a good deal on ski gear than some old dudes who live on their computer and buy random shit?

Same principle as ebay links. If you take the time to check SAC every day, or surf ebay every day looking for deals, you reap the rewards when a good one comes up. If you don't do the work, you don't get the prize.

Most people don't look in site discussion, and most people that look in this thread probably know what it is. But gear engine is kinda risky because some of the stuff is used...
