Sabotage Stupidity-MRG Poached

First off let me start with a claim: My dad and I got second and third chair on the single today at Mad River Glen. Fucking unreal! conditions. A ski patroller in the lodge was saying he has skied MRG for 30 years and has had few days like this one.

Second, on Saturday was the opening of the new single with a dedication ceremony. Miss Vermont 2007 and Miss Vermont like 1964 or something were both there to open the lift. Everyone knew that a bunch of snowboarders were going to poach, there was a Burton truck and a bus in the parking lot. (BTW, the Burton truck ended up getting plastered with MRG stickers).

After the ceremony before people began to ride about 30 snowboarder came bombing down in white one piecies which all said on the back "Mad River Glen, Poach it if You Can". Everyone was cheering and yelling and just really pumped about the poaching and yelling and cheering them on, it was nice, no negative attitude you would excpect. Mad River saw it coming and set up a table saw outside with a sign, Snowboard Tuning Station, and all the snowboarders walked around handing out doughnuts to the ski patrol. I was pumped the snowboarders and skiers were real respectful and hope these boarders win the 5,000.

The End.

So MRG put in a new lift, and it's a single? I thought the only singles that existed still are like 50 years old.

i just looked at your pics, I was sitting right across from you in the lodge when i had lunch today

Awesome! Thanks for posting. Glad it went down in a mature manor. Props to MRG for handling it the way they did.

MRG could not have been nicer about it. Both the customers and the employees were very appreciative of how respectful the snowboarders were, and everyone was lovin' it.

I think there were more like 60 snowboarders, and since it was actually organized by burton, i don't believe it's eligible for the $5,000 prize. At least I hope not, because no one took down my name and number, and I would want my share of the money!

yeah, i'm happy that this one didn't get out of hand and that it was respectful and all because some of the others i've seen are just snowboarders bombing down a hill cutting off skiers and ski patrol

don;t think mad river will change its mind though they have like thousands of owners

ahahhaha, that post sums up ns.

that actually went a lot cooler than it sounded like it was going to at the start of the story.

You hate Burton soooo much, but if i am not mistake your profile says that your outerwear setup is Burton.....make up your mind assfuck

you are a clown and will end up driving a Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition wearing a turtleneck made by Bogner Ski Wear living your whole life wondering, "i wonder what a snowboard slash, or riding pow with ease, feels like...and, why god, do i have a vagina and small penis growing out of it?" your image, my son, is horrible and i hope you somehow get in trouble, oh wait, your trouble comes from being a total dork.

thats a perfect pr lesson in how too take the sting out of a protest. nicely handled by both parties it seemed. mad props

I have to agree with Albino....both sides handled it well, and had a great time, which is why we're on the mountain anyways.....maybe someday it will change, but who cares?
