It's an expensive village, that's for sure. No cars, you have to park in a parking garage and then walk through town to the gondola. The park and pipe seemed pretty good. Not great, just good (that's typical for Europe, though, and this is one of the better locations for park and pipe in Switzerland) They're both up on the glacier and you can bet that the snow will be OK even if the rest of the mountain is shitty. Unfortunately for us, it was, so the only skiing we did was pipe and super-fast high speed groomers from the top to the bottom. A fun but not ideal situation.
Oh, and to save money, we stayed down valley from the ski area. . .in our car! One day was enough for me.
