S914

how would these bindings be for park the salomon s914, are they light, durable, performable in the park, do they hold the boot low to the ski for spinning and rails,, good bindings to ski for park?

how low can you make this binding go with removing the lifter plates and such?? low enough for a park ski, also is it durable or is it like the s912 ti where it kinda effs up

haha thats because he is selling them haha but most people will tell you that the look/rossi binding is better then the salomon also people who have ridden both me not being one of those people(I have all look/rossi) say that they have to din there salomons higher to stay in them compaired to the looks, but I have heard that the s914 has a better spring then the others that din to 12.

I dont know because I dont have them but there are a lot of adjustments that have to be made to keep them working properly because of the design and the s912 are the same design as the s914 so I would assume the are similar.

they are quite heavy. alot more than 912s. i skied pistols with both of them and i could feel a significant difference. but i hear they are quite durable.

I've skied salomon S912ti's and most rossignol/look bindings, and I think there is no comparison between the two. I blew out two sets of the salomon bindings in less than 4 months each, and had no confidence because I had to crank the DIN's to twelve to stay in(yes, they were adjusted by a shop). If there is any way you can get a hold of rossignols or looks, do it. You will not regret it the next time you're bombing down a hill and your skis stay on.

I loved my 912s. Im kinda light tho, 135. But at the end of the second season i blewl out the heel track. I was willing to compromise the weight for the durability tho. Plus they have a warrantee.

I dont know about that. I have one pair from the internet, one from a shop, and one from a kid. The kid had got new free ones cuz of the warrantee so i guess they stand by their product. I think that maybe you just need the receipt or maybe some shops would just be cool and try to get them warranteed anyways, no matter where you got them.

The 914 are in fact the same as the 912's (which I believe Salomon phased out in favor of only the 912TI, they used to have two, one with the titanium, one without). The only differance is the spring resulting in the higher din rating, ad I believe they still have the poweraxe on them to allow for some better flex. I personally have two pairs of regular 912's. There a bit heavy which iisn't too bad since it's under foot. Both have about 70 days on them and are going strong. My Dad also has a piar of 912's, which self distructed after about 25 days. Solly quickly got him a new pair for free, but if your in need of a higher din binding I would definatly look for something beside a 914. P18's, 916's and the look/rossi 14 dins all would top the 912's on my list.

i weigh around 190lbs. would the s912Ti be an alright binding for me to ride for park (rails, bigger jumps, and landing switch) i used to have s914's and they were only at like 10 and they worked sweet...

The 914 is quite similar to the 912ti. The titanium piece is replaced with a steel one in the 914 which does make it a little more durable, but not much so.

I'm 175lbs and have 912tis on my pistols. They are only so-so. I have my DIN at 11 and I still pre-release a bit. I also have to adjust my bindings everyday because the toe wings get loose.

I just got JP vs. Juliens and am putting scratch 140s on them (last years with the turntable heel) and am skiing them sunday. I expect them to be better because pretty much everyone who has skied both prefers the rossi. Yes the 912ti/914 will be lighter, and probably fine if you weigh under 150lbs, but that is their only saving grace.

i have 914s and love em, but spend more time doing big mountain than park. solly is introducing new bindings next year with some changes in the toe piece. might be worth it to wait.

my salomon bindings need constant adjusting (then again, they are the s810s), and when i say constant i mean it. like twice a day if i'm skiing really hard, once before i go and once at lunch cause the wings always loosen up, and i know a friend who has s912 bindings that has the same problem, but not as bad. this prompted me to go to p12s for my other skis, which work beautifully, and i'm skiing at a din lower by half a mark, and they are fucking amazing.
