S914 fis vs rossi fks 155

What binding should i get for the armada jp vs juliens ? I've heard that that mounting pattern of the fks makes them rip out on occasion, do this happen often ?
 
naw, they don't suck but i hate the wings adjusting themselves and making the binding loose. And about the mounting pattern on the fks it can't be that much different from a scratch binding or like the look p12 can it ?
 
seriously, do a search. but ill give you a quick answer. FKS is a no-go, as are older p12/power120 rossi bindings. new ones are fine.

And just so you know s914 fis are just like 912tis except heavier and a DIN to 14, they are not racestock bindings. You are probably looking for 914 LABs. Or 916s. Or older 900S or 997. As long they are all metal, which the regular 914s are not.
 
They do, i know from personal experiance.

And you dont need fks on JPvJL just get some scratch 14s or something.
 
I had the like titanium 14s or some shit, they fucking sucked. Maybe not all salo binding suck, but i also dont like how big they are and how the wings get mad loose.
 
Well have broken EVERY kind of salomon binding,(even 916's) before they were even "broken in", I'll never ski anything but pivot heels again.
 
I got a question about Rossignol FKS 150 pro. These bindings have been changed to FKS 155 a few years ago. The difference is the toe piece.

The old toe (fks150) looks bigger than the new one and I wanted to now if their weight is about the same or if the 150 are really heavier? (as I heard)

a FKS 155 weighs around 2.5Kg (=5.4 or 5.5lbs)
 
ok, so now i have anther prob, i can get the rossi scratch 140 ti and te rossi axial 2 140 ti wide break for the same price, and the only thing i can se thats the difference is that the axial 2 has a lift of 6 mm, is this better for a bc jib ski ?
 
Haha, I like how if somebody's comment goes against your opinion it's automatically deemed "ignorant." Every binding is going to wear out at some point, but I have never seen anything catostrophically fail like a salomon binding. It's incridible to watch the rate the lower end bindings will deteriorate at, and the ones that do hold up will just go all at once. And now for the low blow: Can you even push any bindings to their limit where you ski?
 
Normally I would suggest FKS over pretty much anything else, however with JP vs. Juliens I don't. Because of the ultralight core people have had problems with the heel pieces ripping out. This is because of the bolt pattern on the FKS heels as well as the older pivot heels. So yes, when it comes to JP vs Juliens, FKS are a no-go. Buy some 916s.
