S7 base

Hey dudes, I'm considering buying the armada t-halls and while looking at the ski i noticed that the base was a S7 base, I was just wondering how fast this base is and what type of base it is (extruded or sintered) i have had bad experiences with extruded bases and i do not want to ski on an extruded base again.

Sintered, as far as I'm aware, armada doesn't make anything with extruded bases, including kids skis.
 
I've got the 's7' base on my skis and it's kinda slow considering I wax it pretty frequently, but I can beat the shit out of it and it only has a couple scratches and no core shots, so that's an even trade off I'd say. As for the 'speed additive' I think that's a fancy way of saying they come pre waxed.

Yeah.

have you tried the bite test?

according to some other forum if you can see bite marks on the base after biting into it its sintered.
