haha i can confidently say that it hasnt affected my life in any way besides wasting the 20 seconds to post this response... so i have no problem with it
 
NS.....just say fuck money for a few times can you? google adds? ryan sheckler? whats next? "did you graduate with this person" adds? NS needs to draw the line somewhere.

The Sheckler ads are to promote his site, which yes has a community. So we're not getting money directly, but it helps our parent company out, which is good!

I'm working on a plan right now though to get much of these ads replaced with ski ads... however you'll probably see it take effect more heading into next season, as that is when ski companies purchase advertising!

 
ahhhhhhhh, i just saw a sheckler ad in the sheckler ad thread!!

I really hate these new sheckler ads. I normally just ignore the ads but i hate sheckler so much that i had to say something. couldn't they throw up some travis rice ads or maybe some other snow athlete. at least keep it snow related.
 
they manage P Rod, yet we are stuck with sheckler ads? They are completely missing the sheckler demographic by putting those on here

Ski Companies are spending there money on better things making better skis for example, so this site gets stuck with Ryan Sheckler thats cool though.

were so hardcore jsut like that little bitch Ryan Sheckler... what happened to NS never saying they'd sell out, thats what pissed me off the most.

but i guess its good to help out others in the business..

Dude better things like making skis are you fucking kidding me?

Advertising is a part of business. If you spend money only on making the skis and then don't advertise nobody buys the skis. Its like highschool business come on.

And come off your high horse about selling out. Seriously. Selling out means a lot more than people attach to it. We here at NS have been doing massive things for this sport and this site to grow it and push it forwards. Yes there's been some roadblocks along the way, and there's been some difficulties. But hey, thats growth.

We stay true to the core of the sport. That fact is never going to change. There's times when we sacrifice, but its always for the greater good in the end.

We made a huge mistake with the way ads worked this year, as well as got very little support from some parts of the industry. The companies that advertise on here and believe in us are the ones you guys should support, as they will grow and help NS grow.

Through this summer and heading into next year you're going to see a HUGE improvement in all of this. We've hatched amazing plans to fix this whole rediculous ad system, and companies are already starting to line up to take advantage of it.

 
As a matter of fact I did. I just don't like it. I do understand why they are doing it, I just got angry at the ads because I, as well as many others have a great hate for ryan sheckler. But whatever, I'll continue to visit the site.
 
I'm working on it man, I fully hear you and understand the necessity of getting rid of these things.

Big plans in place, it will just take time to execute. We're going to get it fixed though, these ads are just a temporary solution.

 
it's cool dude. i read that you guys are in the process of getting ski company ads in the near future (next season) and i was just angry that ryan sheckler ads were popping up. I can deal with them for now. I just want some ads that I will find helpful and more meaningful to the site. that's all.
 
lawl omg its so horrible right since someone has a fucking gun pointed to my head telling me to go on ns. go start "THE NEW NS WITH ONLY SKI ADZZ ANd NO OTHR ADZ" and do as much as ns has done for the skiing community and done for us the users of the site.

this thread was meant to be more of a i fucking hate ryan sheckler thread not a hate on ns thread.
 
if you hate it so much just get firefox and adblock plus. thats what i do and i dont see anymore ads
