Rush Limbaugh

Rush is a big duescher, for someone who has his own show he takes criticism like a little bitch. any time anyone calls in and says anything that doesn't perfectly agree with what he said he burns him at the stake and attempts to publicly embarrass them.
 
He was actually just banned from radio here in Summit County, UT because he's a fucked up piece of shit. He's racist, he's sexist, he's homophobic, and he's a lying reactionary jackass.
 
I think he is awesome. He makes a lot of sense. I agree with some of his stuff. But i dont really like beck. Rush is a smart dude though.

i wouldnt say anything i hear on there actually has any effect on my beliefs, its for entertainment purposes only
 
I listen to Rush every day. I think he's hilarious. He makes a lot of good points, and I agree with a lot of what he says.

The people who hate him, don't understand that he uses A LOT of sarcasm. And take everything he says directly to hart. Plus, the media loves taking his comments and spinning them around in every way but the truth. (He never said that he'd move to Costa Rica, get learned)
 
I haven't listened to him much. However, I do agree with a large amount of things he says. It is his delivery and manner that I have a hard time with. He could operate with a little more respect for his opponents.

I think Rush is a doucher, but my problem isn't with him nearly as much as it is a problem with how people view him. He is a babbling, pissed off douche bag type of conservative, but there are plenty of those. My problem with him, and those like him (Coulter, Beck, ect...) is that people take them as a legitimate news source. As a corollary example, I enjoy Keith Olberman, but I know that his show is biased, ridiculous, and as entertaining as it may be to watch him bash the right during his show, I don't take his show as a decent source for political information. Back to the conservative side of this example, people like Limbaugh, Beck, and Coulter have all spoken at CPAC as welcomed faces of the conservatives.

sparknotes: he is an attention whore who says the things he does just to stir shit up, and he has every right to do so; however, he should be taken as the entertainer that he is, not a political source of wisdom.
 
I agree with MOST of what he says. But the way he says it and the jokes he uses aren't the least bit sane, or right.
 
Of the conservative radio hosts/tv hosts the only ones I listen to or watch are O'Reilly and Mark Levin. Sure they have their moments but for the most part are pretty good people. Levin is a constitutional lawyer and Oreilly even if you disagree with his viewpoints he isn't a complete douchebag like Hannity, Limbaugh, or Beck. According to those three it is the end of the world
 
He is far less of a douche than Limbaugh, Beck, and Hannity. And for the most part his show he always has two commentators, one from each side discussing different things.
 
That's debatable. He always takes sides instead of being a moderator like the 'fair and balanced' label of his show states. He's got this corrupted moral objective, where he's a white knight crusading against liberal scum.
 
You do realize when comparing him to the other people on his channel he is practically a hippy that is all for saving the trees and whales right?
 
orly is INFINITELY more rational and bearable to watch then Beck and Hannity.

Liberals should stop worrying about talk show host who have no effect on public policy and actually worry about the people like Nancy Pelosi who have an effect on policy. Your democratic leaders in congress have 17% approval rating, Pelosi is at 11% and Reid is something close to 9%. That pretty much means that they fail and suck balls at there job.
Id love to see anyone of you Dems on here argue with Beck or Limbaugh because they'd make you look like straight retards. I also love how you guys are so affected by what these host say while on the other hand republicans dont give a shit about guys like olberman.
Id also like to point out this point, Ann Coulter was recently going to speak at a university in Ottawa but liberals were way to outraged and started protests where they were legitimately threatening her. Hmmmm, maybe you fucks should stop worrying about all the tea party protest which are completely peaceful and start telling the radicals on your side to stop being pussy's.

I like Medved because he actually encourages debate, rather than a circle jerk of the same ideas. Of course he is conservative, but it's a lot more real, far less demagogical than shows like Rush's, far less pussified than Beck. He has excellent guests, debate, it's smart, and I agree with a good bit, and disagree with a lot as well.
I don't mind limbaugh, but he has his way of presentation that doesn't hold my attention unless I'm driving without music and shit. Most of it is sarcastic or cynical, and it is easy for people to try to misconstrue it, when in reality it isn't that bad.
 
Jack Layton is quite a windbag..and makes promises that are absolutely ridiculous because he knows he won't ever get elected.
 
Hahaha, I love seeing how personally pissed off you guys get at someone you don't even know who has a radio show. Rush loves stirring the pot, by getting pissed off at him, you only make him happier.

Also, I'm sure the majority of people who are hating on him have never listened to a full show of his and can't appreciate his brand of humor.
 
That fact that this thread exists shows his influence. The guy is a terrible persona, I say persona because I think he started out as a person, but after he saw his ratings rise the more he exploited peoples fears he became what he is today. He is an actor and as soon as you start buying into anything he says you are already lost.
 
i like him, he does make some very good points and i usually agree with what he says, he's just offensive to some people and i think thats why its hard for anyone to take him seriously.

 
Rush Limbaugh makes over 37 million a year. Congrats, he is more successful than anybody on this website will ever be. It's okay though, cause he's a complete "doucher".
I like him, and Beck.
 
See although few of you agree with this guy and/or like the way he delivers his opinion your dislike of him inspires more google searches, more idiots wondering 'who the fuck is this guy? he must really suck" so in the end it leads to more publicity (good and bad) for Limbaugh.
The guys just a talk show host, im more worried about people who actually have power over the policies of my country me get less publicity than idiots like him.
 
By your standards Hitler or Madoff were also successful. Success has little to do with the balance in your bank account, especially when you get that high balance by exploiting people.
 
look people are of course entitled to opinions, but some "opinions" are just fucking wrong, or at least based on misinformation, making them invalid.

if that's not good enough for you, then it's my OPINION that this guy is dumber than a bag of rocks not only for liking limbaugh and beck, but for thinking that their "success" makes them any more valuable

but about limbaugh. hes a shock jock. he, just like every other conservative sensationalist couldnt care less about the issues. Hes controversial because it makes him bank, not because he cares about the country. Which liberals could use to remember, i have a feeling if Beck, Limbaugh and the rest were just ignored by the left, theyd quiet down pretty quick.

Whats frightening is how many americans base their political decisions and beliefs based entirely on what some voice on the radio, or talking head on the idiot box tells them to do. and im not just talking about fox, im talking about anywhere.

I find it funny that the internet can actually depress you. Sorry your political views are different from yours. I think he is interesting, he is obviously passionate about what he talks about and it's entertaining, doesn't even matter if I agree with him or not. Hell, my 78 year old grandma listens to him (thats how I first heard him).
And the kid with the Hitler comment. Really? Fuckin really? I was just trying to make a point that Rush is obviously good at what he does, therefore makes a lot of money. No reason to take it all deep (no homo) and inform me on wealthy dictators, you can just assume that I'm sane enough to not think those kind of people are successful/beneficial.
