Ruptured my ear drum.

does this ever happen to any of you? This is my second time.

first time: tubing, landed wrong, water shot in the ear, thought i was deaf for a couple of days then blood and water started to drain out.

this time: jumping off the high dive throwing ski tricks. was tired and wanted to finish with a 9 and my head was a little cock-eyed i guess. felt the water pop it right away. however, no water left in the ears. i can hear but if i plug my nose and blow i can hear air slip through the ear, like a baloon.

fuck ears man.

'first time: tubing, landed wrong, water shot in the ear, thought i was deaf for a couple of days then blood and water started to drain out."

Thats the grossest shit I've heard in a while.

maybe you should start wearing swimming earplugs or something just a though(but it would be dorky)

yeah im pretty sure they just grow back....my other ear is fine. but it's just a pain for a week 1/2 or so. doesn't hurt or anything, it's just an abnormal feeling.

happened to a frined of mine last summer, he went huge of a double up on a wake board and just landed all fff'ed up.

Yeah man, ruptured eardrums are no good. I ruptured my left eardrum last year cliff jumping. My dad just ruptured his ear yesterday surfing. There are worse things than ruptured eardrums, but it's just really uncomfortable for a long time.

this kid where i live drives a pt cruiser that he used to have 2 15's 2 12's and 2 10 inch subwoofers in. they blew out his ear drum. Now he only has the 15s

i ruptured mine on a submarine last summer...yeah, i'm navy ROTC, so part of our summer training included time on a sub. i guess i had some water stuck in my ear from the pool the day before and when we dove the pressure changes screwed stuff up and perforated by ear drum. hurt for a little while, but mostly it's just annoying because you have all this fluid and crap in your ear for a few weeks.

yea, well i have tinnitus.

its where i always hear a shrill pitch in my ear when things get quiet. try dealing with that shit when you want to fall asleep.

I got fluid behind my eardrum, and it became infected suddenly, and burst open. blood, and puss and shit just came right out, and it hurt so bad. and what makes it worse is that the day it did this was just the day before i was supposed to have surgury to get a tube in my ear to drain it.

yeah ears suck sometimes, my friend ruptured his eardrum from a q tip, he stuck it in too far

you're right it's so painful. i live everyday not knowing what music is being played. if you'd like, you could interprete the music to my deaf brain through a sensual lap dance.

i did it jumping off the diving board. under the water i lost all sense of where i was and felt really light headed. then about an hour or two later all this water or whatever was building up pressure, hurt so bad. went to the ER and in the waiting room it burst and all this liquid crap came out. felt good, but then i couldn't hear right for at least a month. good luck with it. seems like a pretty common thing to happen
