Rum vs. Vodka

I'm more of a vodka guy...you can mix vodka with damn near anything. I feel you're a little more limited with rum, although it is still delicious.
 
highschool=more or less whatever you can get your hands on

college=vodka, since you can mix it with pretty much anything

if im out having a good fruity mixed drink run is used more often id say,
 
rum tastes better then vodka, but vodka is so much easier to mix, it fits with anything and for scotch or whisky i usually fill my flask with that and then i add about a quarter cola, its sweet :D

totally depends on what im feeling, there is a time and place for both of them but if you chose the wrong one it makes those nights you will never remember :)
 
rum all the way, I usually go for a 5th of myers dark rum, and i always keep a bottle of it at home as well to fill my flask off of for a little nip whenever i like. good shit rum is. I don't like rum and coke though. just the straight dark rum is the best.
 
vodka becasue it mixes with anything and is super cheap so if your a broke college kid that wants to have a good time its the best cant beat 11 dollars for a handle
 
Whiskey trumps both, IMO. Wisers, Candian Club or 40 Creek. All great choices. Drink it straight, mix with cola, mix with gingerale, or my personal fav, Wisers and Rockstar. That's a fight in a glass right there!
 
Agreed, Whiskey is better then both Rum and Vodka but if I have to pick between those two, I'd probably pick Rum
 
When im party'in out with just the guys..Rum and beer is the way to go. But when im with the ladies ill take the vodka because its really fucks me over and gives me drunk confidence like no other.
 
call me a pussy but every time I drink vodka I wind up face first in a toilet. I can drink rum, tequila, and whiskey without a problem but vodka just doesn't cooperate with me
 
hmmmmm, my favorite mixed drink is malibu rum and coke. so if i was mixing it it would be rum. but if i was takeing straight shots i would go with rumbulman 100 proof vodka. personally though i would enjoy a nice bottle of southern comfert whiskey over anything
 
i personally like rum better because when you mix it with the right thing it goes down way smoother than any vodka drink.
 
Both duh! haha no but seriously three nights ago i mixed Captain Morgans, Puerto Rican Rum, Fleishmans, and monster haha... that was a good night. Next morning though... not so much.

Usually I prefer Vodka though. Vodka+Grape soda=delicious.
 
Lol i played a bunch of 30 year olds in a flipcup tourny with vodka and grape mix. it roughed me up a bit, but we lost the whole tourney by one game, to people 13 years older than us, so it was all good.

needless to say i rock vodka all the time, mixed or straight.

hahahaha awesome. Anyone that knows me knows I only drink Calico and Admiral Nelson. We need to have a rum party
