Rules of NS

Hello, with all the talk about those people being banned, can someone fill me in (call me a noob or newbie or whatever you want) on the rules of NS. Can members sell their goods on here, why do some thread get deleted (even though I can guess why), how does one get ban from NS... ? Help a me and the others out. Thanks
 
As far as i know there are no set rules, but basically don't fuck people over.

1. Dont be dumb

2. Dont drop the n bomb

3. Be nice

4. Dont post stupid threads

5. Mods have the final say, so don't argue

6. Use common sense

7. Think about what is socially acceptable and apply it here - that includes buying items from ebay, SAC, even NS and then turing around and selling them (or 'flipping') them to make a profit. Its not what the site is about and the community doesn't need it.

Bottom line, there are no rules - Mods take action when they deem necessary. So just don't do stupid shit like post porn in the forums
 
And this isn't targeted particularly at you, but it's always a good idea before you make a new thread, to use the searchbar in the top right corner of the page - it gets you information which has been previously discussed and also minimises cluttered forums and duplicated threads.

A couple more:

-Post in the correct forum

-Dont talk about illegal shit

-Dont post just for the sake of it to get your post count up, postcount means nothing anyway.

-Dont harass users with pink names by asking them how big their tits are - it's not cool and you won't get action that way anyway

uhhhh...thats deffinitly not a reason.........have your seen all the threads/post about weed? its illegal...same with underage drinking, and lets not forget, FAKE ID's, hahahahah.
 
Pretty funny how they all get broken every day by me and many a people. NS = shit when it comes to enforcing rules they enforce who they want.
 
yeah but for someone saying 'why do threads get deleted' or 'why do i get banned'..these are decent reasons.
 
for the most part dont be a douche on ns and try not to ask questions or make threads that could easily be found on the search bar, no specifics but stuff like "no poles" or "tight pants" threads
 
For me this is the best rule ever. I mean really its pretty obvious what you should/shouldn't do, but people still have trouble with it. We wanted to put the rules down officially, but its not like we're going to change how we moderate the site.

We are reasonable people, and pretty much as long as you're not being a total douchebag about something, we let the rules bend. However, its when people really take advantage that we have to go in there and clean it up.

Now we can all know what the general rules are. However always know that when you're in doubt about if you're violating one of them ask yourself "am I being a douchebag?"

If the answer is no then give 'er. You get deleted then oops try again. Do you guys post on any other websites? I've gotten shit deleted many times... I thought I made good posts but I just didn't know the subtleties of the site I guess.
