Rules about flying US/Canada

Hello, Ive got a question about general domestic airlines in the US. Iam flying to NYC next week and after that iam moving on to Vancouver. But iam having trouble understanding the info on how much extra i will have to pay for my luggage. I will have 1xskibag and 1xregular luggage, and a small bag in the cabin.I think iam going to fly with US airways, from what i can tell they are the cheapest, or do you guys suggest a diffrent airline?

Iam sorry if this sounds really lazy but its so many hard and weird words used on the baggage-info. Any1 who could help me out?

it varies by airline. some airlines will give you 1 bag free, some wont give you any. your ski bag should count as a regular checked bag on most airlines. i'm going to guess fees average around $30/bag, but it's been a while since i've had to pay to check one. so you're probably looking at $30-$60 to check 1-2 bags

Yeah i figured but as a skibum i know a couple of airlines that flies in europe that gives u free skibags with ur luggage etc, i was just wondering if anyone here knows which one is best.

feeling lazy :) ty for reply anyway

haha, that was an excellent plan my friend. But please recommend the bes airline for domestic flights in the US or to Canada, which one do you use?

Canadian airlines have a mandatory turban rule, don't forget yours or you will be rejected at the gate.

my bad didn't see you were already looking at specific airlines

from their website us airways 1st bag is $25 and 2nd bag $35, so $60 each way. you can have bag fees waived if you have one of their credit cards and book with that.

southwest is the only one i can think of off the top of my head with no bag fees (first 1-2 bags i think) but they don't fly to as many cities.
