RUGBY VS. FOOTBALL: WHATS MANLIER?

i play football and i'm gonna say football of course.in football most tackles are strait up and kill but in some rugby tackles they do any thing to get the guy down and doesn't hurt. It really hurts whe n you forget to put your cup in and the guy head puts you in the croch.

rugby is less agile than foot ball but im gona say rugby i think anyone would shit there pants if you were facing the all backs while they were dewing the huka. meen where els in sports to you get people dewin there war dance before a game

rugby by a long shot. alot more manlier. like people say. pads. rugby wins. endurance. rugby wins. and to whoever said football gets more serious injurys then rubgy and that rubgy gets alot but only minimal like scrapes and twisted ankles, your an idiot. people get absolutly fucked up in rucks in rugby, almost every play. i'm seeing face cleats in a U19 league around here. the coaches played, and the UALBANY coach got a cleat to the lip, and it make a spike sized hole all the way through, and these guys were even playing hard. rugby takes alot more strength, endurance and manlyness

Heres a good compilation of football hits. I don't really know wich would hurt more considering I played football just a little and have never played rugby but I'd think if some of these people didn't have pads on they could be hurt...alot. Although I can't really judge because I've never really played either sport, I'd think rugby would have harder consistent hits while football has the occasional, I think that guy is dead hit. But I don't really watch rugby so meh

all these kids who think football is pussy because of pads should strap on some pads and try to return some kicks and see how long they last.

the injuries in football are only ever more serious because once you strap on the pads you feel far mroe secure then you actually are and you end up tackling and hitting with brutal violence. With rugby theres a mutual understanding between tackler and guy with the ball, your not going to drive him at 100 miles per hour or else you'd both be fucked, instead its smarter tackling, but the injuries still happen because, of course, there are no pads

If you think football is not manly because we wear pads, then you're obviously british or aussie/new zealander. You gotta watch how hard people get hit in football and then try to tell me if you think that is not manly. Also, football players are the biggest, strongest, fastest, and most agile athletes across the globe. I'd like to see a rugby player strap on the pads and go head up with Brian Urlacher, or even try to tackle LT. Not gonna happen.

i agree, in rugby when they tackle its almost all the time around the waist and they attempt to basically swing or bring you down. A football tackle you are basically extending your body, as if you were a bird about to fly, and swing your arms and whole body forward through the person. But soccer > rugby > football

alright in order to settle this argument, just watch a big hit rugby video, and a big hit football video. Also, take into account that getting hit with a metal facemask and hard plastic helmet every play hurts a lot more than somebody's nose or forehead.

then you will see why football wins.

agreed.

Rugby is more wrestling type. Don't freak out on me people.

They are both manly. End of story.

because of jack tatum--best safety to ever play the game, people have become mental patients.

rugby is a tackling sport

football is a collision sport.

end of story.

rugby=tackling

football=colliding

colliding= manlier than tackling. try colliding without pads and see how many bones you will break.

you are obviously british and have never played american football before. in fact it doesnt seem that you understand it at all. maybe know both sides of the argument thouroughly before you make a generalization like that. fucking tard.

rugby owns hands down. american football is slow and you're covered in padding.plus there are no rucks or mauls in american football so that makes it "manlier" i guess
