Ruby hill?

well there were like 6 inches of snow like 3 days before it was supposed to open, but i went over there and they werent even running the guns or anything, so who knows...all the rails were still in storage and there were some kids up there sledding...i think you can check the status online somewhere

UPDATE1/23/09
I drove up and there was still a pretty decent sized patch of snow about 7 inches deep (packed). The patch was probably like 100 feet by 100 feet. And it's snowing as of now

I went by today thinking it was open. No snow guns out yet, no rails/boxes out yet, nobody working, just a bunch of mexican kids sledding. We should contact city hall or something about it. I bet they're trying to snub it this year for economic reasons.

They gave up every good opportunity to blow snow. No way it's going to happen unless we get a blizzard.

That's why I want to put in a snowflex rail park w/ Huck and Splash. No snow, no worries. We could be jibbin all year round.

Dude, that's sick. I've never heard of that before this. I googled that shit and found these vids:

but what is this huck and splash thing you speak of?

I don't know if you were checking out www.snowflex.com , you should definetely go there. They have been making artificial ski slopes in Europe for close to 50 years. Snowflex is the latest and the greatest surface. Just about any feature (man made or natural) can be fabricated and covered with snowflex. They have little sprinkler heads that are set on timers to spray the surface with water. I haven't skied on it, but they say you can carve on it and it's about as quick as natural snow. I am planning on covering my ramps with it for Huck and Splash. www.huckandsplash.com

I forget, but do you have a hopeful opening date for this yet? Will there be season passes? I would definitely put out $100-150 for one if I had to.

it was only supposed to be open for a month, and the closing date was either yesterday or the sunday before that anyways........

Nah, no firm date yet. I want to open this summer. There will be season passes. It kind of depends on how much the sponsors pick up. Need to cover the cost to run it. I'm thinking it will be similar to what a season pass to Echo costs.
