Ruby Hill Rail Jam

oh word!! yeah I was wearing purple pants (I think) and moment skis.
Such a legit event, especially considering it was less than 5 minutes from my house!!
I can't believe more people don't session this place regularly seeing as how driving up i-70 is pure torture, especially on the weekends.

Definitely a fun event, had a good time. 5 minutes from my house too, if you guys ever want to meet up and slide some Ruby hill hit me up, I am always down.

Yo dudes, a couple of us BroBombers swung through there with Andy and Garrett. We were all super impressed, you dudes slay and the setup is awesome. We hope to bring way more people thru during SIA next year. We shot some footage on our point and shoots, check out the edit we threw together.

fun setup, good times!

anyone shred Ruby Hill on the the regular? Saturday was my first time there but I'll definitely be stoppin through more often!

Men Ski –
Connor Nelson - $125
Jex Lawerance - $85
Birk Irving - $ 60
Women Ski –
Alicia Damson - $30
every one on the podium got goggles and headphones. it was sick.

You are the girl that was killing it? When the guys got back and showed me the footage I was super impressed. We had a few missed shots of you...can't win em all with just a digicam.

looks like it was a fun jam, i would have loved come down and sesh with you guys, but had to come down the next day and didnt want to make the drive twice. ill definitely try to make it next time. why was it all boxes and no rails?

I was there filming with the little point and shoot camera for brobomb and was insanely impressed by the skiers. Everyone there killed it. I really wish I brought my skis, but I didn't know Ruby Hill existed. Hopefully we can bring this idea to the east coast!

It's super fun!! Gets icy at night of course though. Most of the features are ride on, which isn't optimal, but it's still a good time and worth it for sure if you are near and don't want to drive to summit.
In sum, I recommend it to anyone in the area!!

Pretty sure it's the same set-up. Once or twice a week (on tuesdays I think for sure), they run over all of it with the cat and then till and smooth out to soften it up. If you catch it after one of those nights it's not too bad until it re-melts and freezes again.

im gonna be in denver in early march. will this place still be open then? and if it will be, can someone give me an address or a website so i can get directions? thanks a ton.

Is anyone planning on bringing a rail or a PVC "rail"..... or anything to jib. The snow is going to be there for a while and it'd be nice to put it to use!

ha yeah. i dont think i'll be able to bring a rail all the way to denver, although i do have a few of them. thats to bad its closed cause the place looked dope. why didnt they have any rails though?

It's a liability issue, at least I was told. Ride on wide boxes lead to a lot less injuries. I don't know if there are stats to back that, but I'm sure it has some merit. They also want to make it as appealing to the public, including beginners, as possible. The project is in dire need of public support and financing and that comes with more people actually showing and interest. As I understand it, if that happened, they would be willing to expand and add a few more features.
