Rub on wax

I just got some dakine all temp. Rub on wax. Can I melt it on and will it work better or will the rub on work just fine?

just rub it on with the stick and use the cork to spread it around. Nothing else required. I use it in between hot waxes, other than that its not much use. Basically protects a proper wax until you get another.
