I find words to be grossly inadequate for the purpose of expressing just how incredibly fucking stupid this thread is.
 
Well some things are impossible to capture on film without the use of a green screen. Giant blue Avatars on an alien planet fighting to keep their talking tree alive or women getting a grab in on anything over a 360... sometimes it's only possible with cables and computer technology.
 
what movie was it that came out a few years back, where in the credits O'Connell is shooting someone who was buried in a snowbank. they throw snow into the shot, and it looks just like a mag-worthy face shot?
 
I dont understand what you mean? Parts of that video are blatantly very fake but the other parts are real?
 
Maybe after the olympics we won't have a bunch of gapers in the park, well just have kids making incredible edits by using green screens!

THIS SHIT IS PATHETIC.... JUST OVER A YEAR AGO WHEN RED BULL DROPPED ME I SAID I WOULD MAKE THE 2014 SOCHI TEAM AND DOMINATE THE HALF PIPE TO PROVE EVERYONE WRONG, THEN I REALIZED I WAS NOWHERE NEAR GOOD ENOUGH TO MAKE THE TEAM SO NOW I HATE ON EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE OLYMPICS AND ALSO TALK SHIT ABOUT RED BULL... BOOM BOMB..
 
It's probably for some dumb motion graphics advertisement/montage bit, they obviously aren't going to green screen a trick onto a jump it would look ridiculous.
 
Then why didn't they set up a green screen behind a pipe and have her actually throw her nine? If they wanted to isolate her, that would be the way to do it. She was in NZ a few weeks ago. It was plenty possible to do that. You're right, it's probably just for a montage or the graphic but it's still fake. It's one thing to take real skiing and a fake background and mesh them but when you start with fake skiing, what's the point?
 
its pretty obvious, just like EVERY OTHER ASPECT OF LIFE, this comes down to the money. it was cheaper to put her in a harness than to go shoot in a real pipe. end of story.
 
You guys do realize that they need to make this commercial now, and that ITS THE BEGINNING OF FUCKING NOVEMBER!!!!! Most ski resorts don't have snow, let alone enough to build a pipe to get a single still picture from... They obviously won't have her fucking rotating on the harness, that shits obvious from how its set up, they just want a picture or two, and this is the best way to get it. She can do the fucking trick, this is just a better way to get a photo than putting up a giant greenscreen on a halfpipe that doesnt exist.
