Roxy Mumbo Jumbo, anyone?

the problem is i like having a specifically womens ski but there arent very many options when it comes to a rockered fat ass pow ski
 
if i'm correct Roxy is made by Rossignol, which means they can't be THAT bad.

And if I'm not mistaken the Mumbo Jumbo is just a tamed down version of the S7, which would make it a pretty solid ski, though I don't personally know how it rides.

If I were i girl looking for some sick pow skis i would look now further than the Moment Reagans assuming you want rocker. Or if you're looking for a more traditional sidecut ski then check out the Moment Pika
 
good info amos, but not to sound snobby or any of that shit, just dont ride roxy. its like boarders riding burton shits just not cool yadadamean?
 
roxy is quiksilver.. which im pretty sure has their hands on dynastar lange and rossi. so i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say roxy skis should be the same quality as dynastar and rossi.. which, last time i checked, make good shit.
 
im not saying rossi and dynastar dont make quality skis. i just think that there are many better options out there.
 
rossi is owned by roxy who is owned by quicksilver i think freeskier said something about rossi making skis and roxy putting there name on it kinda bullshit

Honestly, I don't see a problem with women riding Roxy skis. It's just a name, if the product is good then why not? Besides supporting a major corporation, but everybody loves K2 and love(d) Salomon, so yeah.. the Mumbo Jumbo look like sick womens powder skis. I would look at the Line Pandora instead though..

well i didnt get to try them.

but you might want to look into moment regan. same as night train just in shorter lengths, sounds like what you were looking for. Also chetlers skied very very short, and even the 180 night train should ski short enough.
 
yep. i have the 2009 and 2010 pandoras and the 2010s are SO much better. they are so fun all over the place. i got them for a strictly pow ski but i ride them pretty much everyday because i love them so much. i tried the roxy ones and i hated them. they were mushy and dead.
 
If you want some real powpow skis, u should try out K2. I have heard Miss Behaved are awsome.. I ride Nancy which is the 07-08 version of them, an they RULE ! both in deep snow and the park etc.... :) just a tip :)
 
also i heard the reagans come in 2 sizes: 170 and 180. im 5'2" and 115 pounds, do you think a 170 length ski would be too much?
 
170 should be perfect. Because of the rocker they will probably ski more like a 162 ski.
 
I'm the same size as you, maybe a little shorter actually.. and I ride the 172 Pandoras no problem. If you are a strong skier you can handle em just fine.
