Was watching old ski videos over the weekend, and Dave just kills it. I declare this a "Appriciate Crichton" zone, so please post any video/photo of this east coast newschool pioneer and give this guy respect.
Couldn't agree more. He was THE man for me. Soooo ahead of his time. His segments in Ready Fire Aim and High Five were the goldest. Will never forget about him
DC is the most missed man in skiing. We all miss him and we could only wish for another Crichton segment. He was years ahead of his time. If he was still in the game he would be winning every comp from rail jam to pipe to slope to superhit. If we could only get Berman to convince him to make a 2008 comeback!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Favourite DC moment would have to be goin huge with the trademark flatspin over that halfpipe gap.... what was that in again? I think happy dayz but not sure
It was either Happy Dayz or Ready Fire Aim, and I agree, I always loved that jump session in Breck with the switch right 3, zero, switch 10. All so smooth and stomped.
i heart dave!!!! i love all crichtons!!! hehe. but the best webiste ever is aggresive instincs productions. check it out....talk about old school new shcool skiing...back in the day!!
was it crichton that use to do the siickest bio 7s all tweaked out? think it was in RFA or one of the films from that season, dopes bio7, unlike any other!! hes dope
i saw him on tv a while back, not for skiing but on this program about living with crohns disease. Ive got a lot of respect for him, both for his skiing and for his ability to live a normal life with a disease that really sucks balls.
I'm in that photo wearing the white hoodie on the deck, behind me is Chris Turpin holding his skis over his head for a bit of height perspective. Haha, I thought he did this at the 2003 WSI how time fly's.
Dave was an amazing skier who killed pipe, park and urban rails. His alley-oop 5 critical over that transfer pipe gap is one of the greatest pipe tricks ever. Not to mention his segment in forward is one of the greatest jib segments ever, if not the greatest.
Dave is a super nice guy and I had the opportunity to ski with him a number of times around Ottawa. I was stoked!
yea ready fire aim and high five are real good movies, the true pioneers. i was always diggin the steezy backyard setup they had with the flat box to C rail, they were just messin around. I just remember watching how good of a time they were having.
Dave was and always will be the sickest skier ever. I skiied with him at Mt. Hood like 5 years ago at Windells and there couldn't have been a nicer, more down to earth guy. Check out the interview from Level 1 they just did....congrats to Dave for keeping positive!
ALSO Apparently crones disease is one of them most debilitating, painful diseases there are, you can be curled up in pain for days. crazy shit. that dudes a legend.
