Rossignol Steeze vs Raven, same thing?

hey guys, i'm wondering if anyone knows the difference between the steeze and raven besides the top sheet? are they the exact same thing except for the topsheet?

The Raven is ever so slightly softer, not enough so to make a difference apparently. However the Raven also does a different, tele-style binding mounting plate. It doesn't prevent mounting alpine bindings per se, but I don't recommend mounting true centre cause the toe piece might be out of the binding plate area and could rip out more easily.

i see, damnit i'm not sure what to do..i ordered a pair of raven's proform because a rep said they were the steeze's with the north america print topsheet..not sure if i should just get the fruity lookin ones

I got the Raven because they are out of the Steeze. Exact same ski with different graphics (I like them better). The other difference is that they only have one mounting point marked.

I was told they were the same ski, and the Rossi site says they are the same ski (on the pro site). It is much more cost effective to have two "different" skis that are only different in graphics. Get the Raven and be happy.

ya i'm gonna keep the order as long as its the same ski, because i'm not really not with the steeze graphics anyways

They are almost the same thing. The only differance between the Ravin and th Steeze (other then cosmetics) is that the ravin uses a more durable base material, and the steeze uses a faster base material. The black base found in the center of the steeze is a little bit faster, were as the base on the ravin tends to be a little bit stronger. Bases are like a tetter totter, you have durability on one side of the tettertotter, and speed on the other.

as far as core, mounting plates, and build, the skis are exactly the same.

I talked to 2 Rossignol reps and they said it was the exact same ski. If there are any differences I doubt they will be noticable at all. The Raven looks way more baller too, the Steeze's look gay imo.

I cant believe that rossi would design the Steeze the graphics are just weak. I am glad that the raven is the same ski. The Steeze was turning me away from rossi but now that i know there is a same ski that looks better i am all for it.

I got 2 pairs of steezes by mistake on pro-form. Stupid Rossi. lol. And the graphics are so bad they're good.

Wrong. They are absoultely not any softer. Same exact ski, same exact materials. Also, you can order the ravens without that binder plate if you want. Really easy to do as well. All you have to do is talk to your local rossi rep and he can hook you up... if hes legit.

I am still not totally conviced that the raven and steeze are the same ski. I was talking to a ski shop owner (but what do they know) and he said that telemark and downhill skis are made of different materials which make the skis perform differently. And that the binding mounting plast are going to be different to accomidate the telemark style of binding. The rossignol website doesnt really help in stating the differences. I have read the replies and see that a few of you have talked to rossi reps and they informed you that they were the same. I just dont want to order the ravens and be dissapointed when a shop will not mount alpine bindings on them.

If any of you know of an article or something let me know?

they are the same thing. i got to choose any pair of rossi skis i wanted from a mounting error on my skis, and i wanted the steezes. i asked to get a blank pair or if that was possible, and my shop guy called rossi and they said the steeze's are the exact same as the ravens except for the graphics. and u can def mount alpine bindings on them. so yeah, same ski, different graphic

The cores are the same.  Base is harder.  Mounting plate (?) is same.  Modern mount is 2cm forward, addicted is 5cm forward of the mount line on the Raven.  You're stoked if you got one Rossi is sold out of the 185.
