The new 'value' blue and white rossignol scratches look pretty nice. but they are cheaper and have a wood core as apposed to the fs's thc foam core. i was just looking for some feedback on how they ride all mountain and park cause i am thinking about picking up a pair next season, and i dont want them to be a bad ski. they are just very cheap and ihavent realy heard a single thing bad about rossignols.

Nice triple post there dogg, but that aside, they ride like a dream, i dont own a pair but i ride my buddies quite a bit and they are definately choice, great flex, great landing switch, one of the best designs out there. All mountain, well i live in MN, but i hear they still live up to their name out west...

they arent a good ski if u ski on ice alot like i do but besides mine started to peal agter the 1st day but i just epoxied mine and i had no problem

Yeah I ride them. and i am very pleased. THey are great for all around forsure but they also pop real nive over jumps i find. I think the wood core will also last longer then the foam,, but i'm not sure about that,

ALso they look way better then the new normal scratch thats coming out soon... COP THEM u don't be disapointed!

ya im ridin a pair of scractches and i really like them....best ski i've had . . amazing switch landing and tons of pop.....good for all mountain skiin....

right now i have pow airs and i was also thinking about getting the blue and white scratches. i ski on hard pack a lot. would these skis be good for me in the hard pack and ice?

^ yes.

The wider and softer the ski gets, the harder it will be to drive in a edge. Also they have a fairly generous sidcut, so you can arc some tight turns. Do some reasearch and see what other ski's are in your prices range, decided what your looking for, narrow it down, try them if you can.

yeh i ski in indiana so i cant try any skis. this makes it kind of hard for me because i like to try things out first. i was thinking about head mad trix but i am a light weight person so i dont think i could handle them. and what is the deal with center mounting. would this help me in the ice and making sharp turns?

www.perfectnorth.com where i ski.

well it also depends on how good you are, if you're good you can handle a much bigger ski

when i was on the Scratch Fs i was amazingly ashamed, the ski was Terrible going fast and i found em weird on the snow, i cant even describe the feeling, it was like a weird rubbery carve

yeh but that was the fs with a foam core and the regular cheap scratch has a wood core which i think is better but i guess foam is in so whatever. but i think that the core is what gave you a rubbery feeling.

now the only question is should i get them now or wait until the end of the season and use them for the next season

^^^I think the scratch FS handle really well at speed actually, i was on the glacier this summer when the snow is super hard pack/ice and they felt pretty stable. Mind you when you hit a hole/small crevasse they didnt like it, but i doubt any ski would.
