Rossignol scratch ghettos

they are just the ghettos scratch ended this year i guess. The head of the park at my mtn got them and let me ride them yesterday, such a sick ski i cant help you on dimensions though

I'd recommend that you check out the "Bling", 120-88-113 ( 182cm) as well, its a bit wider, depending on what you are looking for.

so it seems they kept the same dimensions and changed the names and graphics. is the bling basically the new sprayer bc? has the construction or flex changed? how soft/stiff are they?

best ski i have ever had.

i wonder if it rides the same, i have the wrs's and they are fucking sick, so whoever posted that pic if youve ridden the wrs's are they better?

No, they are the same ski.

Of course, if you went from a used pair of fs wrs onto a new pair of ghettos, they will obviously feel much better.

the ghetto skis really really well. a little stiffer than i like for a park ski, but as an all mountain twin its pretty fun; real nice pipe ski as well.

Then they would feel exactly the same because they are the same ski, assuming you were standing in the same position on the ski.

If they felt different, maybe they were mounted differently. The fs only has two lines marked on the ski as mount indicators ("modern", and "standard"). The ghetto has those two, as well as another mount indicator line (marked "addicted"), which is even more further forward.

A small difference in mount positioning can have a drastic effect in how the ski will feel.

How heavy are the ghettos? For next season I'm thinking of either these or the new PE's...how do these compare as far as weight and stiffness?

i got the bling as being a pipe ski from

Matthew Tirrell’s Comprehensive Twin Tip Testing Results

The lap.

I decided to make this test somewhat legit I had to try and control some variables. The lap consisted of a ride up the gondola, followed by a run through the park, which may have been followed by another lap if I was really feeling the skis. After I was satisfied with that I would hop on the ol’ Lowell Thomas and boogie back to the top of the mountain. I then proceeded down the mountain switch for roughly 80 percent of the run.

The Verdict(s)

Each ski was evaluated on four main areas, the look and vibe of the ski(LV), all mountain ski-ability(AS), park performance(PP) and switch skiing performance(SSP).

Rossignol- Bling$$$$

LV- This ski would be one of my top picks for graphic design. The colour scheme and layout worked extremely well. Using a combination of almost pastel blue , a candy red and sand beige to make up a 3D cubed pattern with other characters incorporated into the skis graphic.

AS- In the all-around ski category this ski seemed to fall a little bit short. The tails were extremely soft and would easily be pushed out and let the ski feel like it was washing out in the tail.. Also in edge to edge transition the ski just didn‘t seem to have a lot of life. I’m pretty sure that this ski was actually designed to be a pipe ski and that might explain the poor all mountain skiing.

PP- In the park I could defiantly notice the lack of pop un the ski. It just felt like I wasn’t getting any help and the super soft tails made them feel kind of awkward on takeoffs and back seat landings usually resulted in washing out. Although the tails were pretty fun just for messing around on and trying some butters.

SSP- This is pretty much the only area I found the ski truly excelled. Riding switch this ski was super stable and it was really easy to manoeuvre.

^^ It's obvious that the reviewer doesn't know what he's talking about, since he talks about how soft the tails are, and then says that he thinks they are maybe designed to be a pipe ski.

Soft tails are exactly what you do NOT want in a pipe ski, unless you like landing on the deck all day long.

If you want a ski specifically for pipe, stiff tails shold be your number one priority.

suuuch a siick ski. . . so stoked to be on themm. reallll good in the park and awesome skiing aroud as well

i would definetly recommend getting on a pair of these when they come out

the bling is abslutly nothing compared to the ghetto, the blingk is like a mix of this years sprayer fs and sprayer bc, not so rad...
