the regular scratches (the ecos) have a wood core, but the Scratch FS has a THC (triple hybrid core) which is wood, foam and something else

1. Wood, (solid structure that transmits good vibrations, and provides good feel)
2. Microcell, (damps bad vibrations, and provides more steady flex. resulting in more stability and a smoother ride. used in the core of bandits and other high performance rossi skis)
3. Isocore, (lightweight, reactive and snappy material)
The BC and FS have THC cores, while the Scratch has a wood core. The BC and FS also have dual torsion boxes, and carbon and kevlar reinforcements.
