Hey kids. I'm wanting to know about the scratch BC? Wondering how it compares to the Mothership and stuff like that. Is it stiff and stable off piste and good on the groom as well? How does it handle for speed and is it also good in the park?

Cheers.

Hey timmy, one of my buddies, got the 182cm with the 88 waist. He loves it. Super stable. And he uses it east cosat canada mostly. Work great in the park, stiff, great on rails too. He finds them to be a little heavy, and a lot a ski to handle in the pipe. Still rocks all mountian. Since it is a wide ski.

Hope that helps.

I absolutely love mine! They kick ass! incredible in the pow, and great at everything else. They are rockin' skis. If you have any questions, send me a message.

I weigh like 190 lbs, am 182 cm, and ride 188's, in the east coast. 2 words SUPER SICK. Its so damn stable, and lovely to handle. It can take on anything, and carves very well. The pocet rocket was 2 easy to flip, you couldn't put too much of an edge on it, and it was too soft for the heavy shit. Moships, its a hate/love kinda thing, but dude, go with the scratches, great in pow, and in the air(tho i used to question the landings, but i am not used to a near center mount.

yesturday at vail i saw this guy riding red scratches but they said BC on the back, and as i was trying to figure out if it was a typo or they really were fat (which i think they were), he skied into the pipe, so i'm not sure. Anyone know if they're available in red now? 'cause that wood be sweet

Petek: How do the BC's handle the groomers, pack, and boilerplate? How are they on ice (you know we get it here in the east) as compared to narrower skis?

Hey thanks guys.

Yeah what I'm after is a big ski for those deep pow days, heli skiing and touring. I've got a pair of skogens that I slap skins on and tour on but they're just not wide enough to cut it on the steeps and deeps. A little soft too.

So the Scratch BC is stiff?? Handles the pow, sweet as. But yeah, as that last dude said, how do they hold up on ice, crud and groom?

Like I said, I love them.

I was talking to an instuctor at Stratton the other day, who was riding BC's. He said they hold an edge just as well as the FS. Good on the hardpack, excellent in the park and in the trees, is what he said. I'd def. be interested in hearing some more opinions from some eastocoasters on the BC though...

They are fuckn awesome on groomers, in the park, and i finally got them in the pow. The best ski i ever dreamed of riding. My god, i love them so much. And the wierd thing about them in ice is that THEY GRIP, which completely wrongs all physics. I don't care, i'm sellin my 9.18s which aren't as good in ice as these suckers. I really cant believe it...

They are designed to be torsionally stiff, which explains their grip on ice, but they are softer longditudinally than the powair. And yes, they rock in the powder!
