hey guys

Which do u recomend?

And what exact model of them should i get?

im 140 5 11

Din 7

Their gonna be mounted true center

Thanks guys i need all the feedback i can get

Chris

honestly i dont see prereleasing being a huge problem for you so i would recommend something with a wider mounting pattern. fks have a very narrow pattern making it easier to rip the bindings out from a wide ski. you also ride a 7 din, so a burly binding is not necessary. check out the jesters or maybe sth.

Ok well Rossignol no longer makes the FKS bindings, they're great bindings though totally bombproof and you can occasionally find them either here for on eBay for a reasonable prices. The rossi axials are the exact same as the look PX series. Generally either is a fantastic binding it just depends on what model you want. There is no longer a 10 din in the PX/Axial series so you'd have to get the Axial 120 or PX 12 both of which are good bindings. The rossignol scratch series is pretty sick similar to the Look jib series. And you should be able to get a brake wide enough or their easily bent out to fit.

I don't see someone his size having much issues with FKS ripping out. I'm not too big on spending money on something like Jesters, they're like $300 aren't they? Bending FKS brakes might be a total bitch, the simplest way would prolly just be to go get some px12ti / px12 or axials, both are the same i believe, and just get some wide brakes, they're consistent and will last you.

where do rumors like these get started, every thread about wide skis and fks kids are saying your shits gunna rip out, this isnt a common problem, i heard a couple of people having problems with JJs and fks, but thats it, the likelyhood of someone ripping out there binding is slim to none

axial for sure, they are way more durable and made with better metal. the mounting plate is not as long which allows the ski to flex better

because its common thought that if you have a solid binding, with one the of the narrowest screw patterns out of all bindings, that on a wide, heavy burly ski, there is a good chance it might happen. It's jsut a precaution, it probly wont happen, but theres more of a chance of this happening with this ski and binding combo.

tanner and them don't seem to have any problems with FKS ripping out of ARG's and the like. I think you will be fine. I am sure they are more prone to rip out, but they still wont.

either fks or p12/p14 is a good choice, I personally don't like the PX but haven't ridden it either. It just looks like a big mounting patch taking away natural flex that look advertised for decades before the px.

"tanner and them" also get free skis whenever they want. I agree that they will probably be fine, but you can't really use that as a reason.

no its people that haven't the slightest clue of what they are talking about, most instances where a binding ripps out of a ski are caused by shitty mounts, on the rare occassion that someone rips there binding out through there own power they are either, charging, im not talking skiing hard, i mean sending 40 and 50 footers, or something is wrong with their core, most likely they are old skis or water got into the core from a core shot.

ok cool guys

well

Rossignol Axials here i comeeee

How big would the brakes be?

Like what would the exact model be called?

the model had nothing to do with the brakes, try and find wide breaks somewhere on the internet or shops have them but the axial is no longer in production so getting super wide breaks might be hard so just bend them to the right size.

If you want the 12 Din Pivot heel series then you will want either

Rossi Axial 120 (Not Axial 2)

Rossi Scratch 120 - the older one with the pivot heel

Look p12 (Not the current PX)

All the same binding and they look like this but with different graphics
