After the huge success of the 1st edition,during which more than 8,500 people participated and more than 12,000 voted, CREATE IT strikes again! For the 2006-07 season, CREATE IT -the exclusive international ski graphic contest- again gives you the opportunity to express your creativity.

For its second edition, CREATE IT proposes a new challenge on the Freestyle scene.

Your mission: Design a PRO MODEL for one of the best freestyle riders on the Rossignol team: Candide Thovex, Andreas Hatveit, Sage Cattabriga... choose your favorite skier and go to work!!!

Imagine your favorite athlete in the park or in the backcountry, skiing across the world with the skis YOU created!

Are you ready to give it a shot? Your tool of choice doesn't matter to us...whether it be colored pencils, finger paints, or high-tech graphic software. What counts is imagination!

Be a part of this new trend created by Rossignol!!!

The 20 finalists will receive a reward.

The three best graphics, hand-picked by the Rossignol freeski team, will be produced as a limited Scratch skis edition for 2007/08.

The threesome winners reward: A round-trip adventure to Whistler during the April 2007 Ski & Snowboard Festival, where you will honoured at our awards ceremony, and given a pair of limited edition Scratch skis with your custom graphic, as well as 1,500 ¤ in cash and prizes.

Get inspired by your favorite rider's style and personality, and create an original graphic with their style in mind! You have until Christmas to show your talent. The countdown has begun...
 
anybody knows emails of those proriders, so i can ask them what they'd like to see on their promodels? haha
 
does any one know what the deal is with the downloadable ski template from rossi, it only has one ski topsheet, not two and no bases
 
they didnt give you anything ivan? shouldnt you like.. talk to them and demand your prize?
 
i saw some of the ski designs that won, and they looked like shit. I8van schould have won..........hands down.
 
im trying... its messed up man. the lady in quebec(who i hear is very nice and very sexy) told me that in charge of this whole thing is freeride manager from france, who travels alot and therefore doesnt really give a shit.

its sad, but all i can do is wait
 
i have a problem wit the file format, maybe im just illustrator retarded, but its like 10% its size or something? how do i scale it up you know what im saying? i guess i could just like make a bigger thingy and then copy paste and resize it in there ... i dunno
 
I cant get this to work. I try to download the kit and type in all my info but...nothing happens after it just reloads and doesnt work
 
^Just copy the ski to make two. Delete all the image within the ski to just leave an outsline, use that as the base.

Does anyone know if the ski is a Scratch BC? it looks wide.
 
so the template is full sized already, thats teh size they want? because it says lines have to be 1.5 pt but thats huge compared to the ski template....
 
I opened the template up in Photoshop, cause I dont currently have illustrator. I'm having the same problem, the template is small as hell and when I zoom in, it gets blurry and looks gay. There is one top sheet of a ski pictured, thats it.

Maybe they just put a crappy template up or I need illustrator?
 
rossignol sucks!!!! in last years create it, i made it in the top 20 and i never heard something from rossignol! i tried to contact them several times, but no reply! i'm very disappointed and i don't think that i'm getting something!

 
Is it a typo error on the rules that it must be in 3000dpi?

My computer just cant handle it and its a 3ghz, 512ram.
 
its not a typo... full length(182cm long) file at 300dpi is the same thing as 18.2cm long file(which is 10% of full length) at 3000dpi
 
It was only the top 6 that won anything.

Cos you signed the rights away to them they prob just forgot about you. C***s
 
nope top 100 gets the prizes.... top 6 get MAIN prizes, but 6-100 get a free pair of skis.

i went through alot of trouble reminding and calling them every now and then and was promised to get the prize beginning of december..... we'll see
 
thats sick since i dont have photoshop you should do candides in rasta or argyle like this years and last years jackets
