My bro is an x-college football linebacker... so hes like 6 foot 4 250. He needs a new ski that will obviously have to handle what hell throw at it. He doesnt really ride park much, he just likes ridin backcountry/steeps. I had him on the karma before which had done great with everything, but he needs somethin new and is tryin to save some dough gettin one of last years skis. will the brigade hold up? thanks

Have you skied Brigades recently? THey are pretty stiff. Mantras might have them by a touch, but I think the 185 brigade is a good ski

yeah, hes lookin for a twin so he can dabble in the park. nothin intense but hed find it nice to do some big 180s and stuff like that.... any other thoughts or suggestions?

^BTs would be good.
volkl bridges would certainly be stiff enough and a solid ski, they just wouldnt' be very fun in the park and they're really directional. look into the 07/08 seths in 189 also, they would be my suggestion

i personally would NOT recommend the bridges. this is kinda personal preference but i found them to be the deadest things i have ever ridden. might as well strap 2 bi 4s to your feet.

seths are a good call.

yeah i've never actually skied bridges i've just heard they're super stiff and directional. its weird cause everyone says walls are so poppy and fun, but i can't imagine they're that different from the bridges.

ok thanks guys, ill look into those. if anyone else wants to put their two cents in (especially on the brigades) its very welcome

I have some 08 scratch bc in 171. At 5'10" 160-170lbs, they are bit too short for me- I really wish I'd gotten the 185s. That said, it's a nice ski, not super super stiff obviously, but still pretty nice.

I think something beefier might be in order for the bro-monster.

idk im thinkin i should shy away from tellin him to get something too wide like some of these suggestions cause we live on the east and get like virtually no powder. thoughts?

brigades if hes not doing a ton of park, blends if hes doing a bit more. brigades are def a medium-stiff flexing ski. he only outweighes me by like 40 pounds and i love them. maybe mojo 94s or prophet 100s? even stiffer, but def not as good in the park,

sounds good. if anyone else wants to add their $0.02 be my guest, until then its lookin .... holy shit a big ass bug just caught my eye crawling on top of my laptop up above the screen, fuckin dorm rooms are filthy.... anyway its lookin like brigades might be a good fit for him
