Rossi B3s

I'm getting a pair of B3s and I'm about 6'4' and 180 pounds. Should I go 185cm or 195cm? I'm leaning towards the 185s because they will be better in the tight trees and I already have a pair of 189 Pistols for when a want to go fast.

I skiied 195s at baker last season, and they worked well for me. I'm shorter than you... I don't think you should have too much trouble controlling them if you ski 189 pistols.

The construction of the ski is a little different between the 185 and the 195 B3. There's an extra layer of metal on the 195 making it stiffer and more like the old XXX. I would suggest trying both, simply because they do feel and respond differently.

Cheers.

I'd say go with the 185s. The B3s are stiffer and have less sidecut than the Pistols so they will feel like more ski. They'll take amore effort to turn and going with a shorter ski will make them easier to ski. The 195s as someone mentioned have a layer of metal in them making tem even stiffer than the other lengths. The 195s are really made as a dedicated pow ski or for some one whose doing big mountain comps and is really on top of their game. Also I think maybe they don't have the twin on them but I'm not sure. I've just seen pics of Rossi pros with them and they don't have the twin.

D-loc's picture looks like a monkey smoking that cig. If you had a mug like that would you really want everyone to see it.

They aren't TRUE twin tips, but they have an upturned tail. not as much as a real twin but enough to ride backwards with.

id say 195, just cuz its that much more stable. but if ur gonna do a lot of trees, then the 185

I think I'm gonna get the 185s because they will be more turny in the trees and since I'm not straightlining to many AK peaks I should be fine. Plus when I turn around and sell them there will be a lot more people looking for 185s then 195s.

I've got my Pistols and Ak Enemys (both of which I love)to go fast with.

I'm only getting these B3s becuase I couldn't pass up the deal on them and I've never tried a Rossi fat ski before. How do they ski in comparison to a Pistol or Ak Enemy? Are they a wood core?

B3 is a foam core. but don't worry they are quality. It's not cheap injected foam you find in cheap skis. It's a nice, high density lightweight core. Just think of it as synthetic wood. I've seen the core (warrantee ski cut in half). It may be foam but it's good
