Think this at least says riders has confidence in the duke PT 16's, even though sponsored, he could have gone jester 18 pros, but has the duke PT16's which is interesting.

Have we ever seen anyone do FWT on shifts? I know a few are on CAST

Thanks for pointing this out, that's actually super interesting

am I going to maybe consider a pair of marker bindings in the future? Crazy times...

Btw guys do me a favor and don't tell my friends and family I said this. If it happens I want to tell it to them on my own terms. I'm sure you understand, thanks

good gear, is good gear.

I feel its a flex from marker/DBV having PT16's on FWT top riders, even more so getting a W, but I kinda like it. The "onboard" aka onhead footage from the run is just stupid hard, 0 fear.

I have the revolt121/PT16 combo, buddy has it. its like riding a tank that pivots is fun.

Tons of them compete on Cast. No one would ever compete on Shift. It's not meant to be that kind of binding.

The Duke seems like it would be super strong in ski mode. The only two pairs I have seen being used have both broken off the toe lock out lever when transitioning.

Dang that’s a huge flex on Salomon. They have a few athletes in corbets...when the stream comes out can see if anyone is using shifts. Maybe some light weight shredders.

Snapped right at the rivet. The plastic looks like it's prone to snap.

Would you be allowed to compete on shifts in the FWT?

Im pretty sure they have regulations that mean you cant compete on tech bindings, i could be making that up but i vaguely remember hearing it/being told it, would be interesting to see what they classify them as.

Shift isn't a tech binding in ski mode, just like the Duke.

I have a hard time imagining that anyone would do an FWT run on the Shift though.

The entire point of the shift is it is TUV certified like an alpine binding...

My point was that the shift isn't a replacement for a hardcore, steel race binding and no one would want to do a comp run on it.

“Ross testicles” kek

he almost nailed that rock on the backie. Pretty crazy.

he was riding revolt 120s... i bet volkl is still creaming their pants right now.

Doesn’t Ari Tricomi compete on the Shift? Tons of athletes ski on CAST and it’s an excellent marketing move on Markers part to have Ross on the PT 16, but he wouldn’t do it if he had even a thought that the thing would fail.

Ari Tricomi has been on shifts the last couple years. A good chunk of the field has Cast setups. Heck there's even been people winning comps on adrenalines and guardians in the past.

Ross has been one of the best riders in the world for a bit now. If you follow his gram, his bird edits and squaw stuff is next level already. I know he's from squaw, but since he rides LCC now, it's not unthinkable we could have a full LCC squad 123 in the tour here with Freeland Pollard and Tester.
