Rory Bushfield does his first triple!

Well not on snow, but he did a triple on ABC's Splash this week. I hate the show but I love watching Rory dive. He's had a ruptured ear drum since like week 3 or something, so he's been not actually diving in practice and he just shows up and sends it at the actual show. This week he was a assigned a triple back flip off the 10 meter and he stomped it like always. +K to anyone who can find a video of the triple
 
I gotta say it's pretty funny to watch Rory show up once a week and destroy a 10 meter platform cold. that dude is an animal.
 
I fucking LOVE Rory, he fucking rules, so much respect for this incredibly strong man from all that hes been through.
 
Are they out of the competition now? I saw Kendra fucked him over by refusing to dive from 7m, did he do the triple before or after? I havent watched Splash.
 
That show is such a piss off.. the judging is so unfair, especially to people like Rory..

Some girl (Kendra?) got one of the highest scores a few weeks ago, all because she cried and "overcame her fear"... meanwhile Rory goes for a double off of the platform that's WAY higher and gets scored less. That's just one example of many.. judging is really really stupid.

But anyway, the triple was sick.
 
I've been diving competitively for 14 years. And I can do a 107c off a 10m However I will admit it was at the summer diving camp and the bubbles were on.
 
The diving term for a 4 1/2 with a tuck the first number is position. 1 is forward, 2 back, 3 reverse, 4 inword. Then the next 2 is how many rotations you do. 101 is a front dive 102 front flip 103 1 1/2. The the letter is position. A is strait b is pike c is tuck d is free.
 
Wouldnt it be easier to just say Front 4 and a half Tuck? Thats cool you do that stuff though. I love jumping off high things into water.
 
Well in comps each code is mached with a Degree of difficulty. A 101c has a dd of 1.1 so you get your scores out of 10 and multiply it by 1.1 a 105c is a 2.2dd so they take your scores out of 10 and times them by 2.2.
 
Stoked to see Rory on this show, great to see him happy/having fun and he is an awesome representation of the freeski community, unlike some other people in the limelight these days.

Also, Wilson should be on this show.
 
That was sick! I thought that show looked pretty lame but seeing those guys eat shit was pretty funny, and seeing Rory do that almost perfectly and not even try it into the water at all was nuts!
 
That diving practice that I would go to was literally me one other guy about 16 other girls, and i was 15 couldn't wear Speedo to practice.
 
hahaha its so funny when kareem dives and when when you see his face, it looks like he has no clue to whats going on
 
This completely.Yesterday i was with my pitching coach for baseball, and he asked me what other sports I like. I said I'm really into skiing, and he said oh like that guy on Splash? And I said Rory Bushfield fuck yes. It's awesome he's getting some recognition for our sport, and he's also one of my favorites.
 
dude the amount of claims your tossing is ridiculous no one gives a fuck that you competitively jump from really high into water we'll all watched divers and you probably have dive kid steeze which really, really sucks for you. So, for the love of everything good and holy just stop claiming, people came here to talk about Rory being an unstoppable force of nature

Also I'm so sorry I had no idea you got so mad over me claiming. also Over my 14 years of diving competitively I won first place in my division, and was offered a few scholarships to colleges ill try to find the results when I get home. O and this thread can also be about diving and divers it is a thread about a tv show about diving, shocking I want to talk about the one other sport I did more than skiing growing up.
