Rooms around Tahoe?

Hey Newschoolers. My friend Nate and I(Keith) are driving out to Tahoe from Syracuse, NY in a couple of weeks and I'm making this thread hoping to find a place to stay with 1 or 2 rooms available. Preferably South Lake but we are not set on that. We are both pretty chill guys taking a year off between high school and college just looking to shred as much as possible and have a good time. Just check out Craigslist, there's plenty of 1 or 2 bedroom apartments in south lake that will be available, some for even just 6 month ski leases if that's what you're lookin for. If you're set on south lake, avoid places up on Kingsbury.. I lived up there my first year and it was a bitch! Also, if you're looking to work at a resort, they all have employee housing available too. Hope that helps!
 
yeah i have been looking on craigslist quite a bit just wanted to see if there were any other ns'ers with a room. thanks for help tho +k
 
I stayed up there on vacations before and it's nice but living up there was just super inconvenient... Especially partying down in town 5+ nights a week, cab rides home added up reaaaal quick!
 
Gotcha. I was there on vacation with my family so it didn't really bother me.

I'm moving out to work at Heavenly this season. I am doing employee housing to start off, but I want to find a decent house as soon as possible.

What are good/cheap places to look? I've been trolling craigslist, but its hard to get a sense of the house and neighborhood without actually being in the area.
