and for the "who am I to say kids don't deserve the right to live" or however it was phrased - I'm not one, which is why I'm pro-life. I believe that everybody deserves a chance at a good life but I AlSO understand that this view is not shared by everybody and is not a black and white issue. You can't say "abortion is illegal" and expect all of these kids to be born and live happy lives. If abortion was illegal, women would be dying because they would get unsafe illegal abortions, kids would be born in homes that aren't fit for children, and so forth. Yes, you'll say that's what adoption is for and in the perfect world, yes, a woman would give birth to a baby, decide whether or not she could take care of it, make the proper decision, and give the kid a decent life. The world ISN'T perfect, though, and it would result in sick or dead women and malnourished, impoverished children. So I would HIGHLY suggest that somebody make the decision to give the kid up for adoption but I can't make that decision for them - one that would, on their mistake, possibly ruin their life AND the life of the child yet to be born.
