i mean for a beginner skate, im thinkin some razors they're pretty good
 
I tried some xsjados and although the soul plate is bigger, they didn't seem to lock on as well as my os's.

Def get Razor Cult 7's, this is my first year blading and i have no complaints with those blades. They are durable as hell and not too expensive either.
 
well Razor cult 7's are stiffer, have a smaller soul plate than some skates, some skaters absolutely love their skate like that though, but i dont know about for a first skate, razor genesis is a good skate to start with i think any year, they are all pretty similar

a lot of people i know love their valos, i've never riden em personally though, but they are a pretty solid skate

Personally i think nimh's are the skates to ride, they are like my 5th skate, and my favorite, and everyone i know that has em is absolutely loving them, so i think you should get them for your next skate

But for the kid who started this thread, razors are a really good skate for basically anyone, beginners and experts love em so they will really help you progress, but nimh's are basically the same was as in everyone loves em, im an intermediate skater usin em but the one kid i know is unbelievably good and he skates nimhs also, so yea, my one friend has them, and he needs new skates, but hes actually just gettin the same nimh brian shima v 1's because he just loves em that much
 
yeah ive actually heard that about valos too, they are a lot different then every other skate out there, but i've seriously never heard a complaint about nimh's

i got k2 fatty's from inlinewarehouse ibelieve, and i really liked them, but someone recently told me k2 stopped making aggressive skates?

 
razors with mook frames if your starting, I believe any grind with the rail on the side of ur skate meaning grinds like soul or porn star are easier than frontside, backside or royale.

Frontsides are really easy what are you talking about? it was my first grind? well it felt natural to me because of skiing.

my first skates are the remz os .... really light and i love them ... the only thing i want to change is the frame. i'll probably get ground control freestyle frames
 
why do so many people think rollerblading is gay please tell me, is it because its to hard and they just dont feel like trying or what
 


The cult shells have been still in use for budget skates long after the last pro skate from that mold has been released (not counting the elliot 3) they might retire it but many older skaters are still in love with Cults so they probably won't retire it yet. by the way Nihm skates are the cult mold with a new soul and a skin over them, it's not razors mold anyways it's a public one that any company can use.

Anyways the Genesys mold will undoubtedly be in use for years and years to come for budget skates. Plus many people don't want to give up the Genesys skates because theyre comfortable with them or they dont like the SL skates. It would be a retarded marketing move to ditch the mold. I can guarantee you they won't.

Beginner friendly skates:

- any razors or nihms

- any rollerblade skates

- any USD's

- Remz OS. with the other models you should probably stick to stock cuff and not v-cut or take it out before you have more experience and ankle strength.

- if you can find any Salomon skates still in shops or on ebay definitely go for it. they are very solid skates for all skill levels

- k2 skates are really light but son't last long, and as someone else said are no longer in production although rumors have been going around they might start back up.

Basically the only thing a beginner should stay away from is poor ankle support. skates are all about preference and you might have to go through a few to find the one that fits your style best. Just try to find something inexpensive and try it out.
