do any of u guys think rollerblading would help u at skiing. i have been skating for a while and i can now do 5's and 7's. do u guys think that it doesnt make a difference?

please dont leave messages about how fruitbooters are gay.

it helps u learn not to ride the back seat when u ski. it also helps u with like spins on to rails. personaly i think spining on to rails on skates is harder because u dont have alot of surface beneeth u to slide the rail with

^ good point but i disagree, i feel that blading it easier. i skateboard but my friend blades and can do 450 to rail on flat ground and i personally have neer seen a skier 450 on flat ground..... but good point on the wider surface as oppesed to small h-block on a blade.

I just started skating this summer and i am in LOVE with it!! 3RD time on skates EVER I threw a 3 over the lil jump AND i slid my first RAILl!!! Granted it was only a 10 ft flat single barel, but whatever it was still WICKED fun! Ahhh, I heart it SOO much!!

Yeah, I fruitbooted once upon a time (shhh!). I think it helps with things like balance and pumping tranny. However, I also think it's responsible for making me do the gay one-foot-at-a-time step-on thing when I'm doing urban. The winter after the summer I fruitbooted, I did that on every single rail...even ones that weren't ollie-on. It was like, the hardest habit in the world to break.

yes it helps but blading is alot more difficult then skiing but if u like a challenge then i would take up rollerblading cause your not going to see a skier do a switch 450 pornstar . so when you see a blader give them your respect , there so sick.

^ you arent gonna see a blader hit something as the magnitude of chads seither.. they both have ther edifficult points.... i jes picked some up tho super fun

^^^ true man it works both ways we give them respect they respect us.but u never no are world is messed up some loser could put some wood up by chads and hit it up.

THATS SICk you picked up blading but check this shit out!

it helps if your doing like only ski grinds but after that it's just helping balance. just think about it a skate is like 18cm long and and a ski is like 180 so that's 1/10th the size of course its gonna help your balance. and it is good when doing like changeups and unnatty and spinning on and off so you just up your comfort level of having your feet in the right spot to balance. but you gotta understand that it's got big differences too. you aint' gonna 450 onto a rail off flat or 270 on from flat.

i would say skateboarding helps the most with rails because of your stance. on a skateboard no matter what you do you have a wide stance without leaning back or anything. when i first started grinding rails i would pretend the rail was a skateboard and that i was doing a running jump onto to the board to get it moving. it worked hella well so ill stick with skateboarding. but rollerbladers can do caarazy shit like rail transfers and crazy sw up to different grinds. raspect to both

yea dude if you skate regular and you ski rails right foot forward then a 50 50 on a skateboard is like an unnatty slide on skis.

get some boots, go to the fruit stand, buy some cerries, eat them, then buy some apples and put them in the boots. But not cherries cause cherries taste good.

yeah try taht rollerblades weight like 12 pounds and skis way way more than that. and plus with spinning on skis its not that big of a deal where you land on your skis but rollerblades i sometimes catch if i dont get them on perfect

i rollerblade

it helps make you more confident a lil bit

like if your in the park and can 3 a funbox then you

can do it on skis

you should rollerblade with poles to get the feel of the minor swing weight, because no poles is soooooo uncool.

i've been rolling for about 8 years now ... im pretty experienced when it comes to the park and the vert ramp ... yes, it does help for skiing in a little bit. Once you get used to the concept that you have longer heavier "skates" on your feet, the spinning, flipping, and grinding should come in time. Now, i've only been skiing park for about 2 years now... and already, with my skating background and knowledge, i can do 180s, 360s, 540s, misty flips, back flips, and front flips. I learned all that just from skating my whole life. So i guess the answer to your question is yes, rollerblading does help you in the long run for skiing.

roll fo life
