and i dont mean to make this into a back and forth insult thread but to put it in perspective, alot of people who dont ski think skiing is gay, so maybe we should all just do it instead of hating everything we dont try
 
oh help you. idk, it will help you with being gay, but i dont think it could hurt, some people say it helps, others say that it doesnt. i think you should just hibernate during the summer, so you can ski all day and do urbans all night and never get tired. ever!

some rollerblading is sick, some of it is not. ive seen some super amazing blading vids but the problem is in a segment some guy will do something super sick then something super gay, its hard to watch
 
yeah some guys do some phycotic things on rollerblades, like that big 180 over the big set or 33 kink rail, but when they are bad its pretty gay

I rollerblade.... been doing it for the last 9 years... I don't rol as hard as I used to anymore though. It will take a while to get used to because the platform on which you stand is not as long as obviously it is with skis. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes fun and you can take the ease that accompanies it and go big.
 
rollerblading wont make you any better than skateboarding, infact i wouldnt be suprised if skateboarding helped more, since it is pretty much the most technical sport there is, and rails are sooo much harder, it can definatly improve your balance and little tiny muscle movements and might do alot more than rollerblading. ive tried rollerblading and the only realy similaity is that your facing forward, everything else seems alot different.

or mountain bike cause thats always cool, or definatly TRAMPOLINE will help you more than anything, or spin on and off everything you see.

it doesnt really matter too much, rollerblade if you want or skateboard if you want, id suggest skateboarding though just from experience. but if you really want to improve get a trampoline.
 
rollerblading definatly helps you for airs no doubt, the moves are very similar. you have to be much more precise in your landings cuz there is less stablity becayse skies are longer and bigger.

some grind will definatly help you improve your balance on skis, but most of the grind are not very similar to skiing, ie any soul grind.

and most people who are bagging on rollerblading have probably never rollerbladed in their life or just tried it once, not enough to get fully into it.

basically, borrow a pair from someone or soemthing and try it out first before you buy some.
 
rollerblading is as technical as it gets, and no one can argue against that. and yes you nut yourself alot depending on what you are going for, nutting on huge drop off rails is pretty freaky plus you cant really "walk it off" - you basically drop to flat with your nuts killing you.

so yeah, jameslovesporn, you are gay indeed, and just because you cant rollerblade, doesnt mean you have to bash it. and how could you say all rollerbladers are emo? there are like, 2 of our guys that wear tight clothes, and maybe you should google Frankie Morales, Brian Aragon, Dre Powell, Rachard Johnson, Julian Bah.
 
dude, i'd never do it myself, but i can understand why it has an appeal. Its a bit like blading i can understand why but never.
 
wakeboarding is my substitute, it will help with balance and its fun. More fun than fruitbooting. rollerblading is like gay sodomy, you just dont do it.

i dont get it why do people think its gay, is it because they cant do, i mean it can help your skiing i dont care what anyone says its just that it somehow got a bad image and some people stand to that image. why?

-rolerblades have liek 2 wheels now basically

-skis are coming out with grind plates

-most of the tricks are the same, and yes rollerbladers did them first so therefore skiing copied them

-alot of the grinds are similar and you can do rollerblade grinds on skis, but you cant do skateboard grinds on skis. that shows how similar skateboarding is to skiing? how so? nope not even close. they share NOTHING in common.

-balancing on a skateboard will NOT help you...totally different. your center of gravity is different and your weight is focused in between the legs. in rollerblading and skiing its under your foot.

-rolerblading is just as techy as skateboarding...you flip a twig in different variations but we spin onto rails liek skiing and move our feet in many different positons and do multiple switchups to any position. theres just so many possibilites just like skateboarding

so i have came to the conclusion that none of you have good points to argue your just biased against rolerblading. also my other conclusion is that skateboarding and skiing share NOTHING in common.
 
I dont know who james is, and Ive rollerbladed for 5 years, and have a rollerblading cult, and help produce rollerblading films that are famous in the rolling world. so if consider my information on rollerblading innacurate, then there must be something wrong with you.

and what makes you think skiing didnt get their grinds/grabs from rollerblading? same exact concept, center of gravity and weight underfoot, similar slides, similar motion/movements. how is that innacurate?

i think its stupid to rollarblade cause you think its gona help your skiing evne if it does. I tried it in 6th grade for a lil and decided its gay. i havent changed my mind since. No doubht like MR. Murder and those kids are nasty and takes a lotta balls but it just seems pretty gay to me jumping around on some shoes with wheels on them cmon
 
and with skateboarding you can just go out on a flat street and have fun with fliptricks and manuals but fruitbooting u can only do weak little spins and ride around
 
if i attacked skateboarding liek that constantly you would get worked up too....and think about this, in skiiing you cant just go out on flat and do cool tricks. i see yoru point where that would be funner on a skateboard but why would you spend your time on flat ground? thats weak. but i can see why in skateboarding.
 
ya know, they may seem similar, and but, snowboarding and skiing are peers, while rollerblading is just gay, and skateboarding is skateboarding. im sorry if i pissed you guys off, just stating my opinion.

say what you want but skiing wouldnt be where it is without rollerblading, dont try to tell me we got all the grabs/rotations from skateboarding or snowboarding that shit doesnt even look like skiing
