Rollerblading....

that may be true, but you can go bigger on skates and do stuff not even imaginable with a skateboard, ergo, same amt of skill needed

rollerblading definitly helps..i rode park for about 3 years then got into street and more tech grinds with switch ups during the summer..i also worked on tramps all summer..but both really help.Last year i started skiing for 2 weeks at the end of the season..i sucked really really bad.Now i can almost cork 7 and i can fakie onto boxes and almost 270 off im still working on 270s on.but i dont remember the last time i fell on a rail..it was probobably before the begining of january..boxes i tend to fall every now and then from trying new shit on them but definitly get some if u want some more info on rollerblade join the aggressivemall message board..or u can go to be-mag.com and join that one they are probably the 2 best ones out of all rollerblading messege boards. And if u wanna order anything aggressivemall and erolling are both awsome shops.

i agree that rollerblading helps balance but it doesnt compre to wat a tramponlie can do to help ur bag of tricks. you can pick up a tramp for about the same as a highend pair of rollerblades

i disagree, learn how to hit a jumpbox/flybox on blades and right there youve got the equivalent of a tabletop jump in the summer. plus it will really make you dial in your landings. not only will it help your air awareness and landings in general but it will help a ton with switch takeoffs and landings. at the same time it will be helping your muscle memory just like a tramp.

i started rollerblading before i started to ski, and doing rails with only that 1/5 of space to land on, really helped. when i started to ski i would almost never hit a rail and kind of drift off to the side as you see some beginners do. 270 out's and such came easy as pie, the first time i skied i was nailing them. spins, i havent really tryed with skates im not sure why, but i imagine it would help with skiing.

i used to blade. it helps a ton wit ur switch landings cuz u have such a shorter platform so u learn to land more balanced and centered. and its pretty fun. my first(and only) skates wer like 250. id offer to sell em to u for cheap, but their like a size 5. i used to be super small

id recommend anything from the rollerblade TRS line or any pair of salomons. great for starting cause theyre cheap but definitly hold their own with skates twice as much. ive had both and theyre definitly solid. also most TRS models and pretty much all salomon models are identical in features just have different color schemes. i rock the remedyz right now and they are real dope but dont come so cheap. my buddy also has a pair of xsjado skates and they are simply rediculous, they ride like no other skates and take a little getting used to but are insane, very pricy though. good luck man

get some xsjado's there super light massive souls , trs are super heavy and bulky. ive skated nearly every skate out there and razors and xsjado's kill them all . . period

if theyre still stock get sone of the widebody souls, they come standard on all newer salomons i believe. my buddy threw some on his mintons and it like completely changed the skate. the souls are bigger than you could ever want and royales and farves are so much nicer, definitly worth looking into if you ride older salomons

rollerblading helped me get to how good i am now... skating and skiing have a lot in common...especially on rails.
