SEARCH BAR! i know i know....but there werent many discussions like this

what do people haave against blading?? OK OK its a little fruity, but other than that it can really help with rail balance and stuff....why not mess around with them in the summer when there is no snow? and besides rollerblading allows u to do stuff with two feet like skiing, and skateboarding is like snowboarding....so why all the hating?
 
it just is gay. i think skateboarding helps get ballence more since its like 100 times harder to do a rail on a skateboard than rollerblades or skis. and skateboarding is sooo much more technical than both too, which can help a ton. and i did play roller hockey a couple years ago, and it is nothing like skiing at all, the only similarity is that your facing forward.
 
i think its sic it takes soo much skill to get really good at roller blading i have soo much respect for the pros man they blow me away
 
there's like a small group of pro's in rollerblading that the average person would look at and be like, "thats fucking badass." the other 99 percent of rollerbladers are 15 years old and homo
 
all skiers against rollerblading are just plain blind. no matter how much you try to deny it skiing is very similar to rollerblading and definitely has roots from the sport (talking about the newschool scene). from the grabs to the spins to the names of tricks it's obvious where freeskiing was born from.

you watch some old rollerblading videos from before the canadian air force even existed and you'll see footage of rollerbladers throwing shit down on skis.
 
Billy is right rollerblading is very simular to skiing. The skiers who trash rollerbladering are in a way trashing their own sport. Not to say rollerblading is skiing because skiing is 100X more challenging and everyone knows skiers are pimps and rollerbladers are well just rollerbladers.
 
i dont know why people have so much of a problem with it. i think its pretty sick.I like it way more than skateboarding.
 
only retards can't realize that grinding a rail on skis is a lot easier than grinding a rail on rollerblades. So what if skateboarding is harder?
 
Ok all you people that say that rollerblading is not like skiing your so very wrong. Sure the turns, stoping going and all that shit is completly different, but look at the tricks. They are the exact same thing. It helps with rail balance so much. All the grabs aside from true tails and tips are the same. And to all you that say skateboarding helps more because its harder, how many of you can do a hand rail on a skateboard? Sure rollerblading is easier thats why its help so much. You can get the feeling for the rail and know what to expect. It also helped me indeffenitly with spining switch and its alot of fun. But hey be idiots.
 
So I gues if I follow your logic skateboarding is gay compared to BMX. It takes much more skils to do a handrail on a bike than on a skate and BMX tricks are more tech than skateboarding tricks...So I guess bmx helps my skiing more than skateboarding.

Rollerblading is good. Some of their tricks are so tech and it takes skills and style to actually make it look good. Plus I'd say rollerblading develops close to the same muscles as skiing does.

You'll notice it's practically only ignorant kids bashing rollerblading, people who have half a brain are smart enough to show respect, even though they might not enjoy the sport themselves.
 
people should do whatever they want...dont even make threads about it because people will still bash it even tho the most technical rail skiers have a rollerblading backround
 
dude its just gay, seriously, i know probably 4 rollerbladers at my school and each of them are just complete fags, same with just about every other rollerblader ive seen. and yeah if you can do rails on a skateboard, since it takes a ton more ballence it does definatly help with rails on skis.

and skiers actually get respect, and the good non cocky snowboardes like us, where just about every skateboarder and everyone else knows rollerblading is just plain homosexual.
 
everyone saying rollerblading is gay just cuz its gay are so close-minded. skateboarding is def nothing like skiing, a rail on skates is like a rail on skis. ask any rollerblader who skis and theyll tell you it helps so much. not that skateboarding isnt good too, do wtv ud like, but dont just say rollerbladings gay cuz the only rollerbladers u know are fags. don't generalize a population of thousands by looking at 4 ppl.
 
skateboarding is the coolest for sure but rollerblading is cool also, chris turpin used to rollerblade competitively, thats why he could got sponsored after only 2 years skiing.

and at skiing he'll own all you guys who hate rollerblading
 
Yo, i have nothing against skateboarding.... but you can't deny that you can go a lot bigger on rollerblades, which gets you a lot closer to skiing, don't hate if they rollerblade, its just another sport, and yea some rollerbladers are gay, some skateboarders are gay, and some gays are gay...... dont be so gay yourself
 
If anyone can tell me from wich sport did Mike Nick arive on the skiing scene, than he would know that he used to be a BADASS rollerblader, and did some sick stuff on 190cm skis on the early rollerblade moovies.
 
^ has any one tryed? nope didnt think so. Any way i think most people have a problem cuz this is a SKI SITE, not a roller site if your going to talk about blading to to non-ski gabber or even better go to rolleredits.com or some other bladeing site.

Ok, Skateboarding is an unreal sport. I skateboard and I rollerblade. I do more rollerblading just cause my knees are so fucked. But hear me out. I look at the sport of rollerblading all there movies, pros, and community and I can't help but laugh. But if you take to the sport from a skiing angle and do it as if you were skiing it changes everything. Now don't get me wrong, I have seen the craziest blading come form those movies and people I just bashed, but there attitude I think is just stupid. If any of you have the video WORDS watch the speech at the end youll know what i mean.
 
Wtf are you talking about? The rollerblading community is as tight as the one in bmx or skateboarding. I've met a lot of pros over the years and their all chill guys. Maybe you're talking about the hip-hop influence or vibe that's hitting the rollerblading industry I dont know but who cares if they look all gangsters and shit they like their sport and push every aspect of it.
