As rollerbladers we need to get away from this static form, this idea of tradition. I don't see why making something harder makes it more righteous. I mean it's harder to ollie a set of stairs on a skateboard than to jump it on rollerblades...but I prefer to rollerblade, and that does not make me inferior to anyone. These dogmas are "cliquey" and create a false sense of superiority that will only hold us back. What makes rollerblading so special is its unified diversity...flat and anti- rock...soft and hardboot...tranny and street. The less we say "what should be", the less we become "this or that", and the more we can evolve.
 
im a skater and skateboarding is my life. i dont hate bladers i just hate the morons who blade cause skateboarding is too hard. blading never ceases to impress me when i see a blader with actual talent, but thats rare to see
 
I dont hate bladers, I've just never met one I liked. I just dont think it looks that great to be honest. I hate the way the "grinds" look, bleh. But hey, if they dont hate on skating and shit, I like em.
 
MAN ROLLERBLADING IS SIK .. anyway what you said is bullshit!! rollerblading is as hard as skateboarding, just because ollying is harder than jumping dont mean the whole sports easier . . . ^^ u havent seen any good rollerblading
 
i skateboard and inline, i hate to say it, but i have been starting to be more biased to aggressive, there is just less shit to worry about i guess, and it resembles skiing more
 
Both are cool, they both have differnt aspects of things. Pros in both sports are much cooler and more chill than the stupid amatures who fight for no reason
 
yea i used to skateboard alot it was my life in the summer, and it is true how alot of skateboarders hate on rollerbladers, but it's sorta like skiing and snowboarding, you have to earn the respect.
 
ya - i do both, who cares what the other thinks, its equally hard to do both

like doin the top rollerblading tricks is just as hard as the top skate tricks
 
yea "earn your respect" is the best way to put it. its like that for everything. people wont respect the fact that you skate or blade just because you do it, you gota be gnar, if not gnar, a nice all-round person, thats when people that to drop respect on you.
 
i think the fude (spelling) is really rediclous, they dont hurt anyone or anything, i just don't understand it
