im not sure, but i think a rodeo is like a backflip spin. and seeing that it is a backflip, you probally do get inverted.

 
Yea, check out the video's under the Media section. There are many different wanys to throw them, but if you look closely you'll see differences. There are a few good examples of clean rodeos in there.

it's an off axis backflip, thrown about 3/4. Between a flatspin and a straight backflip, but you continue spinning at the end of/after the flip
