rodeos

Here's a tip. Rodeo 360s dont exist.

Learn the underflip/flare (back flip - half twist) and barani (front flip - half twist) first. A back-full (what you're talking about) starts out as a flare and finishes like a barani.

learn mistys first, once you get those solid then you can modify it until it becomes a rodeo.

Baseball is Fucking Gay, soon we'll be making the millions and they complain theyre not making enough money.

Smooth,

What modifications would you suggest helps turn a misty into a rodeo? Curious, for my own sake.

Cheers.

my guess would be he means that with a misty (thrown left) you're throwing your right hand down across your body into a spin, whereas in a rodeo the initial movement is somewhat similar except while throwing your right arm across you throw it a bit less down and pull back hard with your left shoulder. If that's not what he means i don't know what to say.

just do a backflip with a 360 in it. Its like those aerial guys do but you have poles. Or throw it off axis. Practice on a trampoline or into a shitload of powder first. Or water.

My girlfriend told me to shove my skis up my ass

line ur right, which makes a flatspin so similar, because they look the same except one is a back started movement and one is thrown foward, damn confusing tricks mate

Huh?

Coitus. Sex, intercourse, the act of love.

Oh, you mean coitus?

I hear you dude, the difference between rodeo's and flatspins is somewhat lost on me at times.

Thanks Line69,

I'll try that out at tramp tonight to feel if there's a difference in the mechanics.

The nomenclature of New School is getting ridiculous, especially when you have *experts* arguing over trick identification. I blame the flatspin thing on Cusson *grin*. Back during 13, he would've called it a Rodeo but since he figured it out for the pipe it got switched. Check out the archived X Games videos and watch Moseley do a Rodeo. Looks awfully familiar, and dollars to donuts, you'd call it a flatspin today.

The trick I love is Kristi Leskinen's Rodeo in Happy Dayz. Textbook execution clearly showing a side flip to full twist out.

ok, this is how i figured it out. you do normal backflips at the 12 o'clock position. do a backflip at 10 o'clock and you will get the concept of a rodeo. just keep going off axis and inverted like this. if you have any questions about tricks, skiingmotion.com will help you.
