friend #2 is correct a rodeo is essentially a backflip with a spin. a lincoln loop with a spin is either a flatspin or underflip, depending on how you throw it.
rodeo 5s can look very different between people. some people spin really agressivly (looks more like a backie 180) and some poeple spin it more laid back so that they spin flat. (hence the other name for a rodeo, flatspin)
it doesnt really matter, those two explanations are pretty much the same thing. to me, a rodeo is the second explanation, but even when i see the first explanation done in videos i still think "oh, sick rodeo"
pretty sure theyre both right. if you spin half the 180 then your body moves on the backflip axis your body is basically doing a lincoln on the backflip axis so theyre both right.
a backfilp 180 is a flair and a backflip 540 is back rudey or dspin 9 depending if its corked or not. the term rodeo 540 came about to describe a specific off axis manuver that invloves a corked backflip/lincoln and a 180. where in the 180 the person initaites the corked backflip/lincoln makes all the difference. for example, jon throws corked backy into 180 out, facilitating easy kangaroo-age, wheres wallisch throws his as 180 into corked backy/lincon and therefore would have to change his set to throw a kangaroo.
Depends which way you throw lincoln and spin the 180. If you throw a lincoln to the right and spin left then it's basically a rodeo. But if you lincoln to the right and spin right you get an underflip.
And for friend #2 it would be a backflip 180 more or less then a back flip 5. But technically backflip 180 is a flair, but it could in general terms be classified as a rodeo 5.
When I learned rodeos I thought if it as more of a lincoln, so I'd have to agree with friend #1 more. Although when doing a rodeo you are setting somewhere in between the point of a backflip and a flair.
rodeo is definetly more of a spin than a flip. in the linked edit at :38 there is a legit rodeo and it looks like a backflip with spin and then at 1:05 there is a lincoln 180 and it looks nothing like a rodeo.
i would say lincoln 180, like at the same time verses lincoln then 180. i love do all variations of lincolns with spins on my trampoline. 180 to lincoln is so sick.
