Rodeo 5 and Flatspin 5

Those are both flatspins.

To do a rodeo you have to be inverted(hips above head). It looks more like a lincoln loop kinda.

Eric Hjorleifson(spelling?) does some cool rodeos. Snowboarders have been throwin em down lately too.

Tramps are hard to tell what exactly a flip is, but that could either be flatspin 5 or lincoln 180. It DEFINITELY is NOT a rodeo.
 
Okay... don't ask what a trick is and then correct somebody trying to help you by telling them you know what the trick is, especially when you are wrong.
A rodeo isn't pretty much a lincoln 180. The best way to describe rodeo 5 is halfway between backflip and lincoln loop.
Here is a video that my friend made. At 1:31 I do a rodeo 3 and then the very next clip is rodeo 5

that was a lincoln 180 also known as a RODEO 540

it defianately wasnt anything close to a flatspin because it was a flip
 
a true rodeo 5 is basically an off axis backflip 180. I'm not sure why so many people think a rodeo is a lincoln 180. It's not...

Thank you. I strive daily to be the biggest fuck I can. I'm not sure what puberty has to do with anything... but if you think that is a good insult, then you definitely got me there. But as long as you use that icon, I win. I made that for you like 2-3 years ago.

i agree and believe that it does matter. But your argument is pretty shitty. He is saying when there are small differences and that people should stop making a big deal posting threads on this. Instead just enjoy the tricks they do.
 
Ok, from what I've heard from Chris Turpin in his cult. A rodeo is when your skis are like this || and a flatspin is when your skis are like this =.

Alright this is my last post in this thread. Pause the video when I am at my peak of my rodeo 3. My head is facing backwards. In a lincoln loop you are facing forward the entire time. Most people call them a flat spin 3, but I call it a rodeo 3 because the way I do them and the way most people do them they are inverted and not flat. Also, it is thrown in the same motion as a rodeo 5, so that is why I call it a rodeo 3.
And I'm not sure why that video is so painful to watch? If it isn't obvious that it is just a big joke and we are having fun, then you take life way too seriously.
I guess I just realized why I hate posting in "what trick is this" threads because most people on NS have absolutely no clue what a trick is and then get in an argument about it saying that they know they are right.
Check out this thread for the flatspin/rodeo 3 debate. Tons of videos with the same flip I did... definitely not a lincoln with a japan grab.

you could post a vid of a backflip 180 and people will call it 5 different names. It is hard to name inverts, b/c everyone does theirs differently.
