no luck it is rediculous.

My countdown ends and it tries to load the page and times out, do I hit refresh or do I close and go back to "buy tickets now"?????????????

I can't win it aint gonna happen I am pissed.

^ what? you lucky bastard

I sat on the countdown page for 2 hours, 5 computers, some got time out errors, some lasted the whole 2 hours, i never got past that page, now they are sold out - so pissed

What more could i do, such bullshit that they don't cater to local fans more, you know they were all bought up by third party companies who are going to sell them for $1,000+ - why CR just why?

had 6 different accounts going on 6 different computers. waited on that loading page for about 1 1/2 hour and eventually it went to the checkout page. hell yea im so pumped

MLB gets a cut of stubhub.com and other brokers!

This is bullshit, MLB sold/gave stubhub 1000 tix per game and they are going for 4-8 k per seat.

Rockies sold out on their first trip, so sad.

I went from lover to hater inside 2 days.

No joke the news is saying the the tickets went to less than 10% local colorado people. that means that becuase they were online everyone through out the world got first dibs on the tickets and the real fans have to suffer and pay out the ass. Fuck that guy.

$19,500 for a fucking ticket?

Man, the Rockies really dropped the ball this time.

Kinda makes me not want to watch the game.

BOSTON IS GUNNA WIN IT! but i guess some guy paid 20k here for tickets. fuck shit heads like this let the real fans in for cheap woh dont have the money to pay 2k a ticket

it might have worked to try and call instead of going online. Internet wasn't big when my mom got my family world series tickets for the braves in 95, but she was on the phone all day, about gave up, the next time she called she got to buy the tickets right away. It was sick watching the braves win the world series. I wish yall could see the rockies win. that's bullshit.

that sucks about the rockies tix. i heard about that today. their system was hacked into and thats why you were all stonewalled. i didnt even consider the fact that locals would get screwed b/c they were sold on the internet. that blows. but out here you can't get tix unless you're a season ticket holder cuz fenway is so small.

i started to try and get them at 11:45 and i tried to get them until 3:00

i am so pissed

they have to get their shit straight next time

dude it was rediculous we had 4 computers and my firends ipod touch which has the full internet and we waited for over an hour and nothin happened. fucking gay shit

I have to amend my previous post apparently 80% of the tickets went to people with Colorado zip codes. So I guess that is ok but seriously what the fuck they should have just let people camp out for tickets just like everything else.

you guys better get tix for games 1 and 2 cause its gonna be over in 4 games the sox are gonna crush the rockies

i didn't know people in colorado cared about baseball, i went to a game at coors field a few years back, and i have to say i was disappointed i'm used to the crazy fenway fans but no one at that game seemed to be that into it

What a messed up situation. Most of these people aren't fans at all! I bet that 40% of the tickets sold were out of speculation that they could be sold for 10X face. I am from CO and only tried because I am a big sports fan and all my friends want to go. I might even try to wear a BoSox jersey or something to the game if I feel like buying a ticket off my friend. Messed up indeed.

yeah im from mass and thought the same thing when i went to CO. At least people still want to see red sox games even when they arent in the world series.

nobody in colorado is a baseball fan, they are all fucking sheeple and when the news tells them to like the rockies, they do it.

wow I have been to way more rockies games this year than you have boston games I can guarantee it. Who is the real sheep here you fucking poser. People go to rockies games all the time and there are a lot of real fans but they have a much smaller fan base than boston and a much smaller city.

I never knew red soxs fans were such bastards.

Maybe no one noticed the Rockies cause they were not that great of a team. Now that there going to the WS people know them. People have been going to Rockies games forever! Come on man, there are baseball fans in every state.

Ok, I know there are people who have been going to rockies games since 93, but of all of those, how many are going to the World Series games? In the past few weeks there has been an exponential increase in "fans", many of whom two months ago were claiming to not like baseball at all, let alone the rockies. I'm just saying its rather pathetic that people just jump on the band wagon when the rockies are playing well. If they were fans, they should support their team no matter what, not just when they are winning. I've never liked the rockies, and I still don't. Nothing against anybody who does, I just don't, and them winning all of a sudden won't change that, and it shouldn't change it for anybody else.

oh and I just really wanted to say sheeple.

For a team thats been bad for so long, we do pretty damn well for attendance. We never get national any coverage either (unlike the Sox, Dodgers, Cubs, etc). I remember on one of the TBS games a commentator referred to Matt Holliday as "Josh Holliday." Fuck the media, fuck the pretenders, Go Rockies!

Like in most sports, when there team starts loosing they get other interest. Like when it does not snow for a few weeks and the conditions suck no one wants to ski. Once a huge storm comes through everyone is again heading for the hills. I guess that's kinda the same deal here.

I mean I was not watching them on opening day, I did go to a few games. Kinda stopped watching them for a while. Then once September hit I started to watch them again. It only human to act like that.

fuck the rockies, Colorado harbors them for like 10 years, they finally make it to the world series and then less than 10% of ticket purchases come from colorado. I hope they lose their asses and everyone here is reminded of why we don't give a shit about baseball.

i heard tickets were supposed to sell out in 16 seconds. if that browser didn't refresh in the first 16 seconds after noon you probably couldn't get any. pretty wack, but if you want you can still buy tickets on ebay for $10,000. literally.

I saw rockpile tickets on Stubhub.com going for $100,000 NO JOKE!!

They are also $19,500 on Stubhub.com

earlier in this thread someone said it, I didn't see the retraction untill later. Either way baseball sucks, I'm really just mad I couldn't make a quick buck off all the suckers who live in Denver.

might be going to see the sox win tonight for frizzle. i find out around 6. if i go ill go fucking nuts. LETS GO BOSTON!

So your telling me that last week when we played in freezing rain, all the fans still came out to the game. So freezing rain is fair weather? HMmm...

But yea, it was off of a Colorado news site.

Welcome to Baseball, tickets are always fucked up, The Rockies didnt drop the ball at all its not even their fault its the MLB, and Scalpers / Inflation on the prices.

maybe new to Colorado, but its been this way places like Boston/Chicago even in the regular Season.

IF your not gonna watch a game because of ticket prices you might as well stop watching professional sports.

Coors Field isnt all that cheap anyways, this summer i went to a skanks game there and ended up paying $60 for obstructed view in far right field.
