ROCKERING YOUR OWN SKIS?

I heard that all you have to do is clamp down the camber, then put something in the nose and the tails to push them out from each other. Is this true? Does it work?
 
well i hope your don't care about the skis. its going to seriously ruin their performance. not just like changing the ski, but actually weakening the ski and what not.

 
yup...i did it with a beater pair of invaders. It's not worth it...i got about .5cm of rocker, it took all the life out of the skis, and one of them snapped as soon as i tried a nose butter.
 
ya i heard stories that after about a week of skiing with the rocker the skis started bending back anyway. to tell you the truth its not worth it. if its an extra pair of skis that you dont care about then ya experiment.
 
i buttered my arvs until the nose has rocker pretty sure thats not a good thing haha shop rats had a good laugh though
