Rockered Park Skis?

I always thought rocker technology was for powder skis only to help you 'float' across the snow. There are now rockered snowboards for the same reason. Next year there is going to be a rockered park board. I wonder if rockered park skis will follow? The only reason I can think of having this type of ski is for easy butterability, otherwise it would be pointless. opinions?

i remember hearing about a ski made from surafce with "3 level" rocker, there supposed to be used for more buttering and nollies as well as powder i think

yea im confused but is there anything like positive or any advantages to have a rocked park ski? I mean is it really a rockered park ski? just seems hard to believe.

alpha 1 isn't really rockered in the traditional sense, its more dual camber like the prajekt design that never was.

the future. with the camber underfoot, they can carve like a regular ski, and with the early tip and tail, you can get margarine-ish.

by rockered park snowboards next year i am going to assume you meant last year, the libtec skate banana was for sale last year...

i think its only a matter of time before the freestyle industry is dominated by skis more like the new jj, alpha one and S7....

Besides having fun for a day or two a year, I see no practical advantage to rockered park skis. Unless you want less control and less pop. They're taking it too far. Yes, it works wonders in powder, but leave it in the power. That's what makes sense. Sure, my rollerblades work great on the street, but that doesn't mean I should put wheels on my skis.

same amount of stability with less surface area, making them easier to throw aroundless likely to catch edges, there's times I would have been very fucked on flat skispresses are easier and more fun (less painful)Butters are the samebetter in bumpy conditions at high speeds (IMO)
It's really going to come down to a personal preference thing though. I like mine, other people probably wouldn't.

I'll agree about the personal preference thing. And also, the only rockered skis I've skied in the park are my Hellbents. I haven't actually ridden narrow rockered skis, I'm just going from conceptual knowledge, and my Hellbent expierence. So I can't know for sure.

i think rockered park skis are gonna be the new big thing, pretty soon i bet we are gonna see alot of companies coming out with rocker or dual camber park skis. i was talking to this guy who works for some small snowboard company, and he was saying that probably in 3 years or so, pretty much every snowboard company is gonna have rocker boards as their main park boards. ive skiied my ep's in the park some and they really are awesome. i was hitting 40 footers and landing no problem, i even landed pretty far backseat a couple time and got out of it fine. they arent as good on landings as some stiff normal camber park ski, but for whats probably the softest ski there is, plus having rocker, they were doing amazing. and they were great for take offs and rails. oh and they pop just as well as any park skis ive had, other than maybe invaders, only hard part is that popping requires alot more movement since the tails arent touching.
something like a rockered anthem, elizabeth, kung fujas, or some other wider park ski would be my dream ski.
im suprised line being probably the most progressive ski company hasnt come out with a rockered park ski yet.

Moment Reno Rocker - 92 under foot, symmetrical, tip and tail rocker. Just found your dream ski for you.

Line has the Elizabeth, If they rockered that baby it would be soooo sick.
From Line's website: Eric spends most of his time pioneering tricks in the backcountry pow, so when he drops into the park he wants the same wide ski feel. Eric designed the Elizabeth’s geometry, sidecut, and flex to match our other park-specific skis, for playful park maneuverability, simply with a wider ski feel. If you like progressive fat skis and want that same feel for the park, than Elizabeth is for you.

the moment reno rockers are, correct me if im wrong, the softest ski in moments line. They are extremely lightweight and low swingweight, and they are really fun and soft.

there is already tons of rocker park/street snowboards

i can name like ten off the bat. for snowboards it's because it's easy to press and butter stuff but whats the point for skis?

isn't lib tech's nas (narrow ass snowboards or just skis haha) skis have like what they call the "recurve" or something that is just rockered?
