What are they like? Can I get there without studs on?

roads arent too bad and maitained well. a 4WD will def do the trick. just watchout for the switchbacks with ice

theres a bus from the base up thats like 2$ and free to get down if your that worried about it.

the grade of the road is not that steep going up. As long as your used to driving on snowy roads you should be good.
